The new GST return system update.

1- One monthly return for regular taxpayers(GST RET-1).
2-NIL returns can be filled by SMS.
3 -Taxpayers with turnover up to 5 Cr are included in the "Small Taxpayer" base.
4- Introduction of new Sahaj & Sugam returns to ease return filing for sellers with local market base.
5- A New separate Amendment Return has been introduced.

Keeping this in view, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India(ICAI) revised the CA course in 2017 offering students the liberty to pick between old and new syllabus.
Changes in subjects have been introduced in all the three levels - Foundation, Intermediate, and Final.
New Courses are International Taxation, Business correspondence and Reporting, Business and Commercial knowledge, Economics for Finance and more.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) introduces a compulsory exam to assess CA student’s skills during their practical training i.e Articleship. The Institute assesses CA Students with online MCQ based tests after completion of the first and second year of practical training. The next ICAI practical training assessment test is scheduled for March 22, 2020.
