Dear friends,
You hardly see us writing like this, but this is very exceptional.
Pratyush Panda has poured his heart to help us at Young India Challenge and Youth for Sustainability to spread the message of doing what you love and the importance of connecting our passion into a career related to .
There were times when he was tirelessly working as a volunteer (giving his most prestigious resources - time and engagement) under immense pressure, yet always (we mean it - ) with full involvement and kindness that was felt by all, and as a result easing any troubles. This ability, in our opinion, is a superpower. We need more kind, generous people like Pratyush.
Today he needs support from us. He needs a new kidney and his life back...
And we don't have to tell you, how much time is important...
Hoping for your kindness and generosity.
Big thank you to all who have already supported Pratyush 🙏
With love,
Wiola and Kamal

📖 Book recommendation:
Fresh Banana Leaves: Healing Indigenous Landscapes through Indigenous Science
by Jessica Hernandez Ph.D.
❓Did you know that many solutions, like eg. permaculture 🌳🍃🌿, were stolen from the indigenous communities and not given credit for it? Years of colonialism, oppressions, violence, displacement and yet
✨Indigenous Peoples protect 80% of global biodiversity, living on 20% of the land. ✨
What kind of super knowledge, wisdom and understanding of our connection with nature they cultivate to be able to do so much for all of us? In this book the author shares her knowledge and experience as an indigenous woman and scientist about the way indigenous science can help us to heal and care about the planet.
💚 "If you protect nature, nature will protect you".
💚"We should only take from nature what is needed".
In our work we hear questions from the urban youth "How can we take our climate change knowledge and teach it to rural areas?".
Well, you don't.
You rather go to the places where people live with nature and learn from them. It requires a very different way of understanding the world and our unity with nature from the point of view presented by western education and modern science.

Ladies & Gentlemen
Let me introduce you to the Happiness Team of Young India Challenge 2023.
These wonderful souls took their time and dedicated it to make the event absolutely fantastic.
Assisting delegates, preparing logistics, or simply lending a listening ear, all of those efforts helped create a welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.
They gave their time, energy, and expertise, and we are extremely grateful for all that they did.
We hope that they had a rewarding experience and that they feel proud of the impact they made. Their generosity and commitment to the community inspire us all.
Till we meet again!
