When I got up today, a quiet realization dawned on me. From the poised and polished style of a brigadier’s wife, I had gradually slipped into a lifestyle that no longer reflected the discipline and elegance I once embodied. It wasn’t the circumstances that caused this silent deterioration—it was the casualness of the surroundings, the slow fade of standards around me, that quietly influenced my way of living. I realized that had I upheld my way of life, it might have inspired others as well. The effort, the grace, the intention behind simple acts—like serving tea to a guest with care and charm—could have sent a subtle but powerful message: that relationships matter, that time and attention are gifts, and that style is not vanity, but a reflection of value and respect.
