India: Mother of Democracy – Jan Se Gan Tak
Our students had the privilege of participating in the "India: Mother of Democracy – Jan Se Gan Tak" education programme at Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya on 17th July 2026.
The interactive session, led by Mr. Shashank Pandey, Advocate, High Court, offered valuable insights into the vision of the Constituent Assembly, the making of the Indian Constitution, its salient features and its enduring relevance in shaping responsible citizens.
A key highlight of the programme was the discussion on how democratic values have been an integral part of India's heritage through ancient institutions such as Sabha, Samiti and Gana-Sanghas, where collective decision-making reflected the spirit of participatory governance. The session helped students appreciate that the ideals of democracy and Gantantra are deeply rooted in India's civilisational legacy.
The students also experienced a curated walkthrough of the Constitution Galleries at Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya, where they explored exhibits depicting the making of the Constitution, the vision of its framers and the evolution of India's democratic journey. The engaging experience brought constitutional history to life and deepened their understanding of the nation's democratic foundations.
The programme served as an inspiring learning experience, reinforcing the values of democracy, constitutional awareness, civic responsibility and patriotism among the students.
