“Children are great imitators, give them something great to imitate.”
Role Play is an activity presenting a small act where the participant gets an opportunity to imitate different characters. It offers a chance to the participants to gain experience, showcase speaking and presentation skills.

“Learning is an experience. Everything else is just information.”- Albert Einstein
Prudence stands for experiential learning. To give them a real-life experience of travel and also to relate it with the theme ‘Travel’ for Grade II and ‘Vacations’ for Preparatory, an excursion was planned for the students. To build their understanding that there are different means of transport out of which, airplane is one of them, the students were taken to the Indian Air Force Museum, Palam, on Thursday, 21 February 2019. This excursion helped students to understand that there are different types of aircrafts.
All of us travel to nearby or far off places during vacation. Children shared their travel stories with teachers and peers. These experiences in turn helped them realize the actual need of a vehicle. They were able to classify the different modes of travel, i.e. land, water and air. They understood ‘Airplane’ as the mode of air transport that help us to travel far-off places. Air Force Museum exhibits a wide variety of Airplanes that were used earlier and also represent the modifications that have taken place till now.
Larger aircraft are exhibited outside the hangar. This outdoor gallery contains aircraft that also displays several war trophies, radar equipment and captured enemy vehicles. The students were also sensitized about the recent Pulwama attack by the terrorist and looking at the trophies and the captured enemy vehicles, the students reverberated the sounds of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ there by giving a tribute to our martyrs.

“In every walk with nature, one receives more than he seeks”- John Muir
Prudence strongly believes that the knowledge shouldn’t be restricted to the four walls of the classroom. Hence, the students of Grade-I were taken for an excursion to the Park. The experience helped them to understand and build the concepts under the theme ‘Plants’. The excursion began with engagement in various refreshing and thrilling physical activities, followed by the nature walk, where children explored various seasonal plants, types of trees, types of leaves, flowers, insects, and birds. The students carefully made their observations and collected different samples in their ‘Plant Pitaras’. Students also got the insight of the social campaigns like ‘Swach Bharat Abhiyaan’ and the importance of planting more trees for Green Delhi.
It was a very enriching experience that motivated our young students to become caretakers of our planet. It was an adventurous day spent amongst the wonders of nature.
