SOJNMS, IGNOU successfully conducted its Doctoral Research Committee meeting on 16th Feb 2026 that saw the participation of its research scholars from the batches of 2019 till 2025. The committee assessed the progress of scholars at different stages of their work and advised accordingly. Prof. Archna Kumar, senior professor from Delhi University (front row, second from the right) graced the DRC as external member and gave some very useful suggestions to the scholars. On her left is Prof. Shikha Rai, Director, School of Journalism and on her right are Prof. K.S. Arul and Prof. Ramesh Yadav. The School is always committed to upholding the best standards of research in communication studies.

Ranjith E V successfully defended his Doctoral work on 16th January 2026, marking the beginning of achievements for the new year. The Director and research supervisor, Prof. Shikha Rai was happy that three of the School's Ph.D. scholars would be awarded their Doctoral degrees in the soon to be held convocation.
