🌱 Gyan Kunj Public School – Tree Plantation Drive 🌱
Gyan Kunj Public School participated enthusiastically in the inauguration of a 4-acre park by the MCD, marked by a meaningful Tree Plantation Drive.
The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Shri Surender Vidhuri, Shri Ashok Jonapuria, Shri Gulshan (Inspector, CISF), Shri Ved Pal (MCD Councillor), Shri Sukhbir Mahashay, Chairman GKPS, and other eminent guests.
Students of Classes IX and X actively participated in the plantation drive and hands-on environmental activities. They learnt about soil preparation, selection of native saplings, organic manuring and proper watering techniques. Each student group also took a pledge to nurture and care for the trees they planted.
The event beautifully connected environmental education with real-world civic responsibility, inspiring our students to become responsible and environmentally conscious citizens.
After reaching the school, the students, along with their Science teacher, Ms. Keerti Bhatnagar, met the Principal Ms. Ankita Chakraborty. Principal Ankita praised the students for their enthusiastic participation and appreciated their commitment to creating a greener and healthier environment.
