INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION 2026
The 80th Independence Day of India was celebrated at Bal Bharati Public School, Ganga
Ram Hospital Marg, New Delhi, on 15 August 2026, with immense patriotic fervour, pride
and enthusiasm. The celebration was a vibrant confluence of national spirit, cultural
expression and youthful energy, providing students with an opportunity to honour the
sacrifices of the freedom fighters and reaffirm their commitment towards building a stronger
and united India

The Primary Department of Bal Bharati Public School celebrated the spirit of Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour on 14 August 2026 through a vibrant array of engaging and meaningful activities. The students of class I added a delicious touch to the celebrations with ‘Patriotic Flavours’, preparing delightful tricolour sandwiches that beautifully reflected the colours of the national flag. The students of Class II crafted colourful tricolour hand bands, while the story of India’s independence was brought alive by the teacher through an engaging comic strip, helping the young learners understand the journey to freedom in an interesting and age-appropriate manner. Moving from creativity to curiosity, Class III students participated in an informative screening followed by a live worksheet, which strengthened their understanding of the significance of Independence Day. The spirit of learning continued with Class IV students enthusiastically participating in an Independence Day Quiz, showcasing their knowledge and awareness of India and its journey to freedom. Looking towards the future with hope and aspiration, the students of Class V participated in ‘Future Vision of India – Students’ Talk’, and confidently shared their ideas and dreams for a progressive and brighter India. The celebrations beautifully blended patriotism, creativity, knowledge and expression, inspiring our young learners to cherish the values of freedom and grow into responsible citizens of the nation.

✨ Leadership in Action! ✨

Bal Bharati Public School, Ganga Ram Hospital Marg, hosted its Investiture Ceremony on 27 July, 2026.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Rahool Alwal, DCP (North East Delhi). A total of 50 Student Council members (12 Primary, 16 Middle, 22 Senior) were conferred with sashes and badges and took a solemn oath of responsibility.

The Primary Department of Bal Bharati Public School proudly presented the Annual Class Cultural Presentation of Class IV, “सुरतरंग”, on 18 July 2026.
Graced by Principal Mr. Deepak Dua, Headmistress Ms. Reetu Dawar, and Guest of Honour Ms. Shubh Malhotra, the programme celebrated the universal language of music through an immersive Gallery Walk, melodious Vocal Choir Performances, a vibrant Instrumental Ensemble, and a captivating musical ballet based on Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne (Gopi Gavayya Bagha Bajaiya), the famous story by Upendrakishore Ray Chowdhury.
Showcasing creativity, confidence, and cultural values, our young performers left the audience inspired with a beautiful message of friendship, harmony, and the triumph of goodness.

The Inter-house Bal Sabha Skipping Competition for Classes III–V held on 31st July 2026, filling the day with energy, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship.
Representing their respective houses with great zeal, the students showcased remarkable agility, coordination, endurance, and confidence through their spirited performances. The competition encouraged an active lifestyle, healthy competition while providing every participant with an opportunity to shine.

The Pre Primary Department organised a fun filled “Sponge and Squeeze Relay” for Balvatika 1 on July 31, 2026, , in the school assembly ground area. The exciting relay encouraged young learners to soak a sponge in water, carefully carry it, and squeeze the water into a designated tub while working together as a team. Children enthusiastically cheered for one another, patiently waited for their turns, and displayed excellent sportsmanship throughout the event. Filled with smiles, laughter, and active participation.
