Designers of Tomorrow is a 1-year project exploring the intersections of education, social change, and design. One who is prepared to think creatively.

We're re-imagining what it takes to change the world, starting with a yearlong investment in ourselves. The biggest challenges we face today are multi-faceted, nuanced, and intractable. Designing for these challenges demands a new kind of leader. One who can embrace innovation to cross traditional boundaries. One guided by empathy and compassion. Five things we learned about change from a year of design fieldwork in India 30/09/2017

Our journey in India wasn't just about acquiring new skills, but about building novel perspectives on change.

We've compiled a few of those perspectives into an [incomplete] list of lessons from the last year. The big challenges of today are different, and so is the way we think about and address them.

These perspectives are evolving, and this list is ever growing. We'd love to hear yours.

Listen to the small voices.

This is Parveena, a woman who isn't normally asked for her opinion.

We think the voices and perspectives of people like Parveena are the most important to capture. And if working with her taught us any one thing, it is that if we want to affect change, we have to keep listening.

As we look ahead to future projects, we have confidence that an inclusive design process is not only possible, but absolutely critical to unlocking the infinite potential that exists in all of us.

After two months of research, we're excited to spend the next few days testing our best ideas with local women in Naddi. We're using a few prototypes like this storyboard, which simplifies a complex design concept into an easy to understand story.
