The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and Universities all over India. Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh AVSM, VSM has taken over the reins of National Cadet Corps - The premier youth org of the country, as its 34th Director General on 27 Sep 2021. He is an alumnus of NDA, Khadakvasla & IMA, Dehradun and was commissioned into the PARA REGT in 1987. The Gen Offr has a rich & varied experience of serving in different terrains in various command & staff appts. From commanding his Battalion in J&K and in UNIFIL to a Division on the LoC, he now shoulders the responsibility of shaping India's youth into capable citizens. The NCC fraternity welcomes its alumnus, Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh, back into its folds as Director General & pledges its commitment in grooming future Leaders, Nation Building and National Integration.

Lieutenant Commander Gautam Rai has done proud by being adjudged the 'Best International Officer' at the Indonesian Navy Staff College Course for the year 2020. The course was attended by 167 Indonesian officers and 8 foreign officers from , , , , , , and . He has been awarded the 'Dharma Wiratama Sumengkar' Medal'. An Anti Submarine Warfare specialist, the officer was posted as an instructor at ASW School, Kochi prior undergoing the course.
