In India running/editing an academic journal is under-valued and not much appreciated even by academicians themselves, considered as a work done out of "passion". Editing a journal is minimally equivalent to bringing out an edited book every year.

Nagaland state is becoming more inclusive in its policies and programmes, but it has still a long way to go.
: Apart from the four existing languages—Ao, Lotha, Sütsa, and Tenyidie, the additional languages are Chokri, Chang, Kuzhale (Khezha), Konyak, Kuki, Rengma (Nzonkhwen), Rengma (Nthenyi), Phom, Pochury, Sangtam, Yimkhiung, and Zeme.

Why the collapse of "oppressive state into small, decentralized fragments" is deplored, Scott argues "is that it deprives all those scholars and professionals whose mission it has been to document ancient civilizations of the raw materials they require". Such collapse, as in the classic case "of the Roman Empire" resulted rather in redistribution.

Kuki and Hmar groups signed Memorandum of Settlement (MoS) with the Government of Assam today for the formation of Kuki Welfare and Development Council, and Hmar Welfare and Development Council respectively. Congratulations to all. Let there be peace and development in the Northeast.
The perpetually recurrent conflicts in indicate the urgent need to politically settle the problems rather than, what I would call, pro tem-isms that New Delhi usually engage. Delaying is not only wasting national resources, it also continues to take precious lives.
