Pakistan's proposed longest road tunnel under CPEC 2.0 is more than just an infrastructure project. It reflects the deepening strategic partnership between China and Pakistan and the continued expansion of connectivity projects under the Belt and Road Initiative.

From India's perspective, CPEC remains a sensitive issue because parts of the corridor pass through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. As regional connectivity projects gain momentum, they continue to shape the geopolitical landscape of South Asia and influence strategic calculations across the region.

In Ladakh, the India - China border conflict is not only about territory and troops.
For the Changpa community of Changthang, it is about grazing routes, livestock, pashmina, migration, and survival.

When access to traditional pastures is restricted, the impact reaches families, herds, income, and culture. This is why border management cannot be seen only through a military lens. Security planning must also understand the people who live closest to the frontier. The Changpa case shows how geopolitics, ecology, and livelihood security are connected.

A strong border policy must combine infrastructure, military preparedness, local consultation, and livelihood protection.

Because border communities are not just residents of remote regions. They are India’s first line of presence in fragile frontier zones.

Himalayan Blueberry Rediscovered in Arunachal Pradesh After 188 Years.

Scientists have rediscovered Vaccinium piliferum, a rare wild relative of blueberries and cranberries, in the forests of Arunachal Pradesh after 188 years. First recorded in 1836, the species had disappeared from scientific records and was feared lost. Researchers found only 16 surviving plants in the remote Eastern Himalayas, highlighting its endangered status. The discovery underscores the extraordinary biodiversity of the region and the urgent need for conservation efforts to protect rare species before they vanish forever.
