moments we share together.”
The occasion of International Day of Families on 15 May 2026, witnessed a
heartwarming celebration by Prayaas—Ek Koshish, our community service initiative,
which also completed its one year on 15 May itself. The team planned a thoughtful
surprise for the heads of our school family. To express gratitude, admiration, and
affection, students prepared a special collage titled “We Are Family ”,
beautifully filled with handwritten notes and heartfelt messages for the School Chairman
- Mr. Sailander Solanki, Head of School - Ms. Nishu Pandey, Vice Principal - Ms. Malini
Gujral and Senior Wing Coordinator - Ms. Vineeta Bagga. The joy and smiles on their
faces became the most cherished part of the celebration, making the moment truly
unforgettable.
Later in the evening, the Prayaas team visited Cafe Beyond Eyes, a unique café run by
visually impaired and specially abled individuals. The interaction proved to be deeply
inspiring and eye-opening as students engaged in meaningful conversations with the
staff, learning about the challenges they face both within society and in their personal
lives. The discussion not only encouraged empathy and understanding but also
highlighted the strength, resilience and determination of the individuals working there.
What began as a reflective interaction soon transformed into an atmosphere filled with
warmth and togetherness, where songs were sung, laughter echoed, and heartfelt
smiles were shared by everyone present.
The experience led by the Prayaas team served as a beautiful reminder of the
importance of appreciating every individual, valuing our school family, and nurturing
compassion, inclusivity, and unity within the community.

Nurturing responsible citizens — The SVIS Way

Our Sustainability Club @ Ankuran, in collaboration with VIRWES, successfully conducted a Paper Donation Drive, collecting an impressive 948 kg of paper in the form of old storybooks, newspapers, used books, and notebooks. ♻️

In a meaningful step towards closing the sustainability loop, the collected paper will be recycled by VIRWES and returned to our learners as eco-friendly products—diaries, seed sheets, and fridge magnets—transforming contribution into conscious action.
