Day 2 of the 32nd Student Induction & Orientation Programme at Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management was an inspiring blend of academic orientation and industry insights, setting the stage for a transformative management journey.

We were privileged to welcome our esteemed Guests of Honour:

Mr. A.K. Balyan – Former Director (HR), ONGC & Ex-MD & CEO, Petronet LNG, and Ms. Pallavi Chopra – Director (HR), IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd.), who shared invaluable perspectives on corporate resilience, adaptive leadership, and the evolving expectations of the business world, encouraging our students to embrace challenges with confidence and purpose.

The day also featured comprehensive sessions on the institute's academic framework, campus ecosystem, and student life, led by Dr. Sushil Kr. Dixit, Col. Ajay Sood, Dr. Nandi Nailwal, Prof. Raj S. Dhankar, Prof. Ajay Jain, and Dr. Shekhar Kumar Sinha, equipping the new batch with a clear roadmap for their PGDM journey.

The Induction & Orientation Programme for the PGDM 2026–28 batch at Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management offered students an inspiring introduction to the values, opportunities, and vibrant community that define the LBSIM experience.

The programme was marked by motivating addresses from Dr. Praveen Gupta, Director, LBSIM, and Guest of Honour Ms. Preeti Negi, Director – HR, CSR & Communication, Unicharm, who encouraged students to embrace learning, leadership, and personal growth as they embark on their management education journey. Their insights set the tone for a transformative and purpose-driven experience ahead.

Students also had the opportunity to interact with faculty members, area chairs, and administrative leaders, gaining a deeper understanding of the institute’s academic framework and support systems. Engaging sessions on the Corporate Relations Cell, student clubs, committees, and campus initiatives showcased the diverse avenues available for professional development, leadership, and holistic growth.

Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM) proudly welcomed the 32nd Batch of PGDM (2026–28) through the Induction & Orientation Programme held on 15th June 2026 at the LBSIM Auditorium.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome from Dr Praveen Gupta, Director, who encouraged the incoming cohort to embrace discipline, excellence, and a commitment to high performance as they embark on their management journey.

We were privileged to host Mr Sumit Madan, a distinguished alumnus, as the Chief Guest. Reflecting on his remarkable 26-year journey from management student to corporate leader, he shared invaluable lessons on perseverance, continuous learning, adaptability, and purpose-driven leadership. His inspiring address offered students a powerful perspective on building meaningful and successful careers in an ever-evolving business environment.

The Guest of Honour, Mr Ajay Swaroop, another distinguished LBSIM alumnus, reflected on the achievements of LBSIM alums across diverse industries and leadership roles. Drawing from his own professional journey, he highlighted how the institute’s strong academic foundation, values-driven education, and emphasis on continuous learning equip students to thrive in a dynamic global business landscape.

Welcoming the new batch were Prof. Rekha Gupta, Dean - Academics, and Dr Sushil Kr. Dixit, Dean - Planning & Development, extended their best wishes to the students as they embarked on their management journey. Joining them, the entire LBSIM fraternity- faculty, staff, and the Student Management Grid—warmly welcomed the PGDM 2026–28 cohort as fellow Shastrians and wished them a transformative learning experience, lifelong friendships, and a successful journey of growth, leadership, and excellence ahead.
