Words seem to fall short today as we mourn the loss of our Alumnus Rohan Joshi, a vibrant soul who left an indelible mark on everyone around him.

As we have known him, apart from being a PG degree holder from IIT Guwahati, he was a poet whose words wove magic; painting pictures of beauty and truth that resonated with all of us.

We remember Rohan's coronation as Mr. Anugoonj 2018, his infectious laughter that filled every room, and the wisdom he shared with such humility. His tenure as President of Abhivyakti was a testament to his unwavering dedication to enriching our lives and building a stronger USCT.

The pain of his absence is sharp, a gaping hole where his smile once was. Nonetheless, even in this profound grief, let's find solace in the constellation of memories he leaves behind. Every shared laugh, every insightful thought, every moment of his vibrant presence – these are the treasures we hold close.

Rohan, your light may have dimmed too soon, but it will forever shine within our hearts. We offer our deepest condolences to his family and friends. May they find comfort in the love that surrounds them, and the legacy of joy Rohan leaves behind.

The 9th Alumni meet organized by USCT on 18th March 2023 was a joyous occasion that saw the coming together of more than 100 delegates comprising Alumni, Faculty, and students. Being the first in-person event during post Covid-19 pandemic made it even more special for the USCT Fraternity.

Shri. Sunil Sobti, OSD Finance, GGSIP university was the special invitee as the guest of honor.

The event started with the lighting of a lamp/Diya by the Guest of honor, faculty, and USCTAA President. After that, Sh. Sunil Sobti addressed the gathering where he asked the students to cherish college life and make the most of this time. He also emphasized the importance of Alumni connections for any institution and vice versa. The gathering was also addressed by Prof Arinjay Kumar, Dean-USCT,
Dr. Sanigdha Acharya -Alumni Student Coordinator and Mr. Vineet Bakshi- President- USCTAA.

To make the occasion a memorable one, a few musical and Choreography performances were also planned for the students.

The soft launch of the newsletter "Mulakaat" was the significant highlight of the event, with alumni expressing their appreciation for the initiative.

Post lunch session was exclusively kept for Alumni-Student interaction where Alumni shared their journey post graduating and also passed on a few words of wisdom to students. The question-answer session provided students with a wealth of information about the prospects of chemical and biochemical engineering, with alumni from both academia and industry sharing their valuable insights.

This year was especially significant for the university as it celebrated its 25th anniversary and received accreditation as A++, which filled the alumni with a sense of pride in their alma mater.

To sum it up, the alumni were thrilled to reunite with their batchmates, juniors, and faculty members and meet new students, as well as elect the new council for the USCT Alumni Association during the meet.

Cooked meal distribution drive as part of USCT Cares 2.0 is underway in Delhi NCR!

Thanks to all the donors and our logistic partner Rasoi of wheels for making this possible.

Glad to inform that as part of USCT Cares 2.0 fundraiser, we just donated dry ration to *Rasoi on wheel* . Over the next 1 month would be distributing cooked meals at various locations in Delhi-NCR Region.

The Dry ration packing and unloading was monitored by one of our alumnus.(Mr. Manu Kadyan)

While he was the lucky one who got a chance to offer his service for this noble cause, other fundraiser team members ( Suparna Chopra, Vineet Bakshi, Anshul Dhaliwal, Azain Ahmad, Nikita Tyagi, Vineet Thakur & Anchal Gautam ) were busy toiling hard behind the scene and coordinating the procurement & logistics.

In coming weeks, we shall be carrying out more such dry ration distribution drives.

Once again, we take this opportunity to thank all the donors for making this possible. You have shown that USCT really does Care !!☺️😊

Dear Students,

Glad to inform you that we have handed over the 1st set of equipment, i.e. 3 units O2 Concentrators, 11 units Cannulas and 100 Surgical masks to university on 19th May.
These were procured from the money raised via a Fundraiser conducted by the USCT Alumni Association in association with the Durga Ma Charitable Society.

The University Health Centre now has more than 25 Oxygen cylinders & 6 oxygen concentrators that are available on a first-come-first-serve basis to all our alumni, students, faculty & staff for themselves as well as their immediate families.

Additional equipment is on its way and we will keep you posted on it.

Glad to inform that we have handed over the first set of equipments, i.e. 3 units of Oxygen Concentrator, 11 units of Cannulas as well as 100 Surgical masks to the University Health Centre located in the premises of Main Campus of GGSIPU.

The equipments delivered were duly inspected and tagged by our alum Azain Ahmed at the distributor/ vendor facility, and were delivered at University Health Centre by another alum, Bakshi

While these two lucky ones got a chance to move out of the four walls and offer their services, other fundraiser team members ( Suparna Chopra, Manu Kadyan, Anshul Dhaliwal , Nikita Tyagi, Anchal Gautam and Vineet Kumar Thakur) were busy toiling hard behind the scene and coordinating the procurement and logistics.

We once again thank all the donors for making this possible, and also request remaining Alumni/ Faculty/ Students to keep showing your love and concern for USCT/ University Fraternity.

We are still at 5.5Lakh INR and have a target of 10 Lakh INR to be achieve by 24th May.
