Your mind is like the Brahma Rakshasa from Kantara—either you master it by giving it a target, or it will consume you with overthinking and negativity. Keep yourself occupied with a clear goal! 🎯💡

Your attention span isn’t necessarily broken.

You might just be training your mind to be distracted.

Thousands of years ago, Yoga described different states of Chitta, from a restless and scattered mind (Kshipta) to one-pointed attention (Ekāgra).

Today, notifications, endless scrolling and constant novelty keep pulling our attention in different directions.

Modern science studies attention and reward-driven behaviour.

Yoga asks a deeper question:

Can you train your mind to choose where your attention goes?

Maybe the ancient productivity hack was never another app.

Maybe it was Chitta training. 🧘‍♂️

Did you know stress hormones like cortisol can cause sudden blood sugar spikes? 📈
Yoga isn’t just about flexibility—specific targeted twists and abdominal folds help stimulate the pancreas and calm the nervous system to balance blood glucose levels naturally.
Try practicing these 5 asanas every morning on an empty stomach for best results! 🌅
⚠️ Note: Always practice under guidance if you’re a beginner, and keep monitoring your levels regularly.

Your “asana” isn’t just a pose. Patanjali disagreed with the gym bros 2000 years ago. 🧘‍♂️

We’ve turned asana into a performance — deeper backbends, harder holds, better angles for the camera.

But Patanjali gave us the actual definition 2000+ years ago, and it has nothing to do with flexibility.

Here’s what the Yoga Sutras actually say (Sadhana Pada, 2.46–2.48):

स्थिरसुखमासनम्
Sthira Sukham Asanam
The posture should be steady and comfortable. Not “impressive.” Not “Instagrammable.” Just stable and at ease. That’s it. That’s the whole definition of asana.

प्रयत्नशैथिल्यानन्तसमापत्तिभ्याम्
Prayatna Śaithilya Ananta Samāpattibhyām
You get there by releasing effort and merging your awareness into the infinite. Translation: stop forcing it. The moment you’re straining, you’ve left yoga and entered ego.

ततो द्वन्द्वानभिघातः
Tato Dvandvānabhighātaḥ
And when you master this — you become undisturbed by the dualities. Heat and cold. Praise and criticism. Comfort and pain. The pose was never the point. It was training for equanimity.

So next time you’re on your mat chasing a “better” version of a pose — ask yourself: am I steady? Am I at ease? Or am I just performing?

That’s the difference between doing asana and being in asana. 🕉️
