Apeejay School hosted the screening of the thought-provoking film Hold My Hand on 24 August 2026 in the school auditorium, with the aim of fostering greater awareness about mental health, counselling and the importance of seeking support.

The occasion was graced by Professor the Lord Swaran Preet Singh and Ms. Neeru Khera, the creators of the film. The school was also honoured to welcome the guiding forces of the Apeejay family-Dr. V. S. Garg, Education Advisor, Apeejay Education, Ms. Veena Goel, Director, Apeejay Schools Delhi and Principal, Apeejay School, Pitampura, Mr. Stephen James Tumpane, Principal, Apeejay School International, and Dr. Sujeet Eric Masih, Principal, Apeejay School, Saket. The event was also attended by School counsellors, teachers and students from Apeejay Schools Saket, Pitampura, Panchsheel Park, Noida and Apeejay School International.

The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Ms. Swapna Nair, Principal, Apeejay School, extended a warm welcome to all the distinguished guests and spoke about the growing need to prioritise mental well-being alongside academic and physical development.

The much-awaited screening of Hold My Hand followed, portraying the silent struggles and pressures faced by adolescents, especially peer pressure. The film highlighted the importance of counselling, encouraging young people to seek help without fear or stigma and reminding them that reaching out is a sign of courage and strength.

Following the screening, Professor The Lord Swaran Preet Singh addressed the audience and shared valuable insights on maintaining mental health. He spoke about embracing failures as opportunities to learn and grow, facing challenges with courage, continuously upskilling oneself and cultivating meaningful human connections through empathy, compassion and understanding. He emphasised that asking for help is not a sign of weakness but a mark of strength and self-awareness.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Vice Principal, Ms. Vandana Bansal, expressing gratitude to the distinguished guests, filmmakers, counsellors, teachers and students for making the event meaningful and impactful.

The preschoolers at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park enjoyed an engaging storytelling session based on the heartwarming story, “The Tailor and the Elephant.”

The session began with an energetic Storytime Energizer, setting the stage for an exciting storytelling experience. Our teachers brought the story to life through engaging characters captivating the children’s attention and making the story interactive and enjoyable.

Through this beautiful tale, the children learned valuable lessons about kindness, caring, empathy, and respect.

The session concluded with cheerful action songs like “Baby Shark”.

It was a wonderful session that beautifully blended storytelling, imagination, values, movement, and fun, creating a joyful learning experience for our little ones!

The students of Classes III, IV and V embarked on an exciting and enriching school excursion to BOUNCE, Gurugram, on 19 August 2026. The visit provided them with a wonderful opportunity to step beyond the classroom and enjoy a day filled with adventure, physical activity and experiential learning.

During the excursion, the students enthusiastically participated in a variety of activities, including trampoline jumping, dodgeball, climbing challenges, Ninja Warrior, obstacle courses and free-jump zones. These activities helped enhance their balance, coordination, agility, strength, concentration and confidence, while also fostering teamwork, sportsmanship and perseverance.

The students followed all safety guidelines responsibly and encouraged one another as they took on various exciting challenges. After an action-packed session, they enjoyed a delicious meal together, adding to the joy and camaraderie of the day.

The excursion offered a perfect blend of adventure, fitness, teamwork and experiential learning. Overall, the visit to BOUNCE proved to be a joyful, engaging and enriching experience that left the students with wonderful memories and valuable lessons beyond the classroom.
