२१२औँ राष्ट्र स्तरीय भानु जयन्ती समारोहमा वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक पाठशाला स्तरीय लोक नृत्य प्रतियोगितामा प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त गर्न सफल बनेर पाठशाला परिवार गौरवान्वित बनेको छ। आजको यस राष्ट्र स्तरीय समारोहमा पी.एम.श्री सरकारी वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक पाठशाला, सोरेङका प्राचार्य, शिक्षक-शिक्षिका साथै सम्पूर्ण कर्मचारी वर्ग एवम् विद्यार्थी नानीहरूले पूर्ण उत्साह साथ‌ै हर्षका साथ उपस्थिति जनाए।

Initiative on Sign Language Awareness & Bharatiya Bhasa 2026 Follow-up .

This is to place on record our sincere appreciation for the valuable initiative undertaken by our school’s Special Educator, Mr. Suk Bahadur S***a, also the District Coordinator for Inclusive Education, Soreng.

Mr. S***a recently conducted an enlightening session for the students to introduce them to Indian Sign Language (ISL) , as part of our school's follow-up activities for Bharatiya Bhasa 2026 the nationwide celebration of India's linguistic diversity.

The session aimed to:

· Foster an inclusive school environment
· Bridge the communication gap between hearing and hearing-impaired students
· Sensitize learners towards the needs of differently-abled peers
· Align with the spirit of Bharatiya Bhasa 2026, which emphasises embracing all Indian languages, including sign language as a vital mode of expression.

We commend Sir Suk Bahadur S***a for his dedication and urge the school community to continue supporting such inclusive initiatives in the spirit of Bharatiya Bhasa 2026.💐

Our school celebrated International Yoga 🧘 Day 2026 with teachers, staff, and students practicing Pranayama, Surya Namaskar, and Asanas together. The session promoted mindfulness, stress relief, and inner balance. The event ended with meditation, reaffirming our commitment to holistic health a healthy body and a calm mind.🪴

A Step Towards a Drug-Free India.

Today, our school took a firm stand against substance abuse by administering the Nasha Mukt Bharat Pledge. The ceremony aimed to raise awareness about the devastating impact of drugs on physical and mental health. Led by the principal Dr.P.B.Chettri ,the gathering saw students and staff solemnly vow to abstain from intoxicating substances and to act as responsible citizens in creating a healthy, addiction-free society. The pledge reaffirmed our collective responsibility to stay vigilant and to steer the youth toward a path of fitness and prosperity.

One of the many moments when our students make our school proud.
Our athletes won a total of 15 medals 🥇 at the 17th State Level Athletic Meet, held at Gangtok Resh*thang Stadium. The young athletes brought home 2 bronze 🥉 , 10 silver 🥈and 3 gold medals🏅, bringing victory and honour to P.M. Shri Soreng Senior Secondary School. We are very proud of them.💐 🏅

On the occasion of World Environment Day, our school came together as one to give back to Mother Nature and nurture her in return. Students from classes 1 to 12 joined hands to clean the school premises and plant new saplings across the campus. It was a highly productive day for the entire school.🪴
