Tilak Education Society’s Sarada Kurup College of Education and Research successfully organised a Two-Day International Conference on “Interdisciplinary Teaching and Research in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Integrating Science, Technology and Humanities” in collaboration with Study Leap Learning Solutions on 11th and 12th May 2026 through online mode. The conference brought together academicians, researchers, educators, and students from India and abroad to deliberate upon the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in education, research, and interdisciplinary learning.

Day 1 commenced with the inaugural session led by Principal Dr. Amruta Panda and Academic Administrator Dr. Nisha Pillai, who highlighted the importance of integrating AI with ethics, innovation, and human values. The keynote sessions by Prof. Renu Yadav and Prof. (Dr.) Dileep Kumar M provided insightful perspectives on interdisciplinary teaching, generative AI, adaptive learning, and the future of AI-driven education. The technical session featured thought-provoking paper presentations on AI-integrated curriculum, digital assessment, and technology-enabled teacher education, followed by engaging academic discussions among participants.

Day 2 began with an enlightening keynote address by Dr. Prakash Singh on the application of AI tools in advancing research and interdisciplinary studies. The technical sessions focused on themes such as adaptive assessment systems, digital wellbeing, instructional innovation, ethical challenges of AI, emotional intelligence, and AI-driven classrooms. Researchers and academicians shared innovative ideas and practical approaches highlighting the growing importance of learner-centred and technologically advanced educational practices.

The conference served as an enriching platform for interdisciplinary collaboration, promotion of research culture, and awareness regarding ethical and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence in education. The event concluded with the announcement of the Best Paper Awards and a heartfelt vote of thanks to all dignitaries, keynote speakers, presenters, participants, faculty members, and organising committee members for contributing to the grand success of the conference.

Maharashtra Day Celebration
The students enthusiastically celebrated Maharashtra Day on 30th April with a meaningful and vibrant programme. The objective was to create awareness about the history, culture, and significance of the formation of Maharashtra.
The event began with a welcome speech, followed by an informative speech on Maharashtra Day highlighting its historical importance. Students also presented documentary screenings explaining why Maharashtra Day is celebrated, making the session insightful and engaging. An interactive quiz added excitement and encouraged active participation from the audience.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks.

An awareness session on Hearing & Visual Disabilities was successfully conducted by Sarada Kurup College of Education and Research in collaboration with Sahayogini Palak Sanstha.
The session highlighted support for deaf & blind students and promotion of inclusive education.

The Farewell Programme for the outgoing batch (2024–2026) of S.Y.B.Ed. students was held on 28th March 2026 at Smt. Sarada Kurup Memorial Hall. The event was organized to bid a heartfelt farewell and celebrate the journey of the graduating students.
The programme began with a warm welcome, followed by a graceful welcome dance. A nostalgic video presentation highlighted memorable moments and achievements of the batch. Students were also recognized during the Certificate Distribution Ceremony for their active participation in various intra -collegiate competitions.
A touching segment of experience sharing by the S.Y.B.Ed. students added emotional depth to the programme. Fun games created a lively and engaging atmosphere, strengthening the bond between juniors and seniors. The event was further enriched by the Principal’s motivating address.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks.The S.Y.B.Ed. students expressed their gratitude by presenting thoughtful gifts to both the teaching and non-teaching staff. Overall, it was a memorable occasion filled with emotions, appreciation, and celebration as students prepared to step into a new phase of their journey.
