On December 2, 2024, SIES IIEM proudly hosted the Awards Ceremony for the Climate Ambassadors’ Exhibition, showcasing innovative projects on "Solutions to Pollution." This event marked the culmination of our flagship program, "Nurturing Climate Ambassadors," which empowers students and educators to champion sustainability.
We applaud the creativity, dedication, and practical approaches demonstrated by participants in addressing environmental challenges. Congratulations to all winners and participants for your inspiring contributions to a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.

On October 3, 2024, SIES IIEM had the privilege of hosting an enlightening session on "University Ambidexterity: The Interdependence between Knowledge Exchange & Knowledge Creation" with Prof. Andrew Johnston from the University of Huddersfield.
The session sparked engaging discussions on how universities drive both cutting-edge research and real-world impact. One of the highlights was the dynamic Q&A session, where the participants discussed and deliberated upon the challenges and opportunities of innovation in higher education. The exchange of ideas was truly impactful!

As part of our ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship, we launched our flagship programme "Nurturing Climate Ambassadors'" in October 2023. This initiative is designed to inspire both students and educators who are passionate about sustainable practices and environmental advocacy.

On October 5th, 2024, SIES IIEM hosted the Climate Ambassadors’ Exhibition at our campus in Juinagar, Navi Mumbai. The exhibition was a platform for schools to showcase their innovative and dedicated climate action projects, with a special focus on “Solutions to Pollution.”

A special thank you to our esteemed jury members – Mr. Rajan Raje (CEO & Founder, Nichem Solutions), Prof. Sudesh Sharma, and Mr. Nivrutti Lokhande (MPCB) – for attending and motivating our students with their insights and support.
Special appreciation goes to Dr. Sangeeta Sharma (Director In-charge, SIES IIEM) for her leadership, and to the SIES IIEM & SOP team for their hard work in making this event a success.

It was inspiring to witness the creativity, dedication, and practical solutions presented by young minds in their journey towards a greener future.

We at SIES IIEM, are looking to hire for the position of Lab Assistant. The Location is Juinagar and the Job description for the position is mentioned below in detail.

Work Experience: 0-2 years (Candidates with previous research or lab experience would be preferred)
Educational Qualifications: Post Graduation (Environmental Science/ Chemistry)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting

Experience in the following areas:
Document Management: Overseeing all documentation (physical and digital); Maintain all Laboratory Documents / Records as per ISO 900:2015 format; Maintain Calibration & Instruments’ Report regularly.

Inventory Control: Maintain stock levels of laboratory supplies; undertake physical stock verification of laboratory materials; and initiate purchase requests.

Academic Support: Assist students and Faculty in conducting practical's and experiments. Preparation of chemicals and reagents, autoclaving of instruments/ glassware, etc. before or during the practical / experiment, as per the requirement.

Lab Testing / Consultancy Service: Receive samples, conduct testing, analysis and make sampling reports
Stock Maintenance: make inventories of Chemicals, Glassware & Equipment etc.

Co-ordination: Co-ordinate with vendors for the purchase of chemicals, glassware, equipment, consumables, non-consumables etc.,
To perform any other work/duties as and when assigned by the HOI from time-to-time

The day was marked by a solemn and inspiring flag-hoisting ceremony, symbolizing our unwavering respect and gratitude for the freedom we enjoy today🙏

"True freedom begins when you start believing in yourself." This powerful message resonates deeply with us as we reflect on our shared history, resilience, and the incredible diversity that makes us strong.

As we unfurled the tricolor, we celebrated not only the freedom won by our ancestors but also our ongoing journey towards progress, unity, and sustainability. Let's continue to work together to build a future where every citizen can thrive, where our environment is cherished, and where the values of liberty and equality remain at the heart of everything we do.
