This day is observed globally every year on 8 March to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. Also, it is an action for accelerating gender parity. Purple is the colour that symbolizes women internationally. The combination of the purple, green and white colour is to symbolize the equality of women which is originated from the Women's Social and Political Union in the UK in 1908. Do you know that purple signifies justice and dignity, green symbolises hope and white purity?

National Science Day is celebrated every year in India on 28 February to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect by the Indian physicist Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman. He discovered the Raman Effect on 28 February 1928 and for this discovery, he was honored with the Nobel Prize in Physics subject in 1930.

We are pleased to report the successful completion of the Journal Club session held on [26/02/2024] at the American Chemical Society - Bombay College of Pharmacy, where one of our Assistant Professors, Mr. Sanket Shirodkar, had the honor of serving as the Invited speaker.

The session hosted was on captivating topic, "Bonds beyond Biochemistry: Exploring NASH Therapeutics in Rodent Model." It was heartening to witness the active participation and thoughtful discussions that unfolded throughout the event at BCP.

The exploration of pharmacological approaches and their implications for treating NASH sparked an intellectually stimulating dialogue among the participants at BCP.
