The future of chess ratings could start online! 🌍💻

FIDE is testing a new system that allows players to earn their first official Rapid & Blitz ratings through verified online chess events. If implemented, this could make competitive chess more accessible, especially for beginners who want to start their FIDE rating journey without immediately traveling to over-the-board tournaments.
