🌏✨ JAPAN EDUCATIONAL EXCHANGE PROGRAMME 2026 – DAY 4✨🌏
From the Serenity of Mount Fuji to the Pulse of Tokyo

Day 4 of the Japan Educational Exchange Programme offered the students of Delhi Public School, Navi Mumbai an extraordinary glimpse into Japan’s seamless blend of natural beauty, technological advancement, and vibrant urban culture as they travelled from Hiroshima to Tokyo aboard the world-renowned Nozomi Shinkansen.

As the bullet train sped through the changing landscapes of Japan, students were greeted with a breathtaking view of the majestic Mount Fuji while passing through Shizuoka Prefecture. The snow-capped peak, visible under clear skies, became a memorable highlight of the journey, allowing students to reflect upon its immense geographical, cultural, and spiritual significance in Japanese heritage.

Upon arriving in Tokyo, the students experienced the dynamic energy of one of the world’s most iconic metropolitan cities. Following lunch at an Indian restaurant, the group explored renowned shopping destinations including Uniqlo Ginza, Muji, and traditional Japanese stationery stores, offering them an engaging glimpse into contemporary Japanese lifestyle and design culture.

A major highlight of the day was the visit to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, where students ascended to the 45th-floor observation deck at a height of 202 metres. The panoramic view of the sprawling Tokyo skyline — including landmarks such as the Tokyo Skytree, Rainbow Bridge, and Roppongi Hills Mori Tower — left the students awestruck by the sheer scale and sophistication of the city.

The day concluded amidst the dazzling lights and electrifying atmosphere of the iconic Shibuya Crossing and the famous Don Quijote store, where students enthusiastically collected souvenirs and cherished memories to carry back home.

The excursion proved to be a remarkable blend of learning, exploration, and cultural immersion, further broadening the students’ global perspective and appreciation for international experiences.

This enriching international initiative continues under the visionary leadership of Principal Ms.Tejaswini Katdare, with the constant encouragement and support of Vice Principal Mr. Naresh Kumar Singh and Headmaster Mr. Yashwant Mokashi.

🏔✨ A Journey of Heritage and Heights✨🏔

Delhi Public School, Navi Mumbai organized an enriching four-day educational excursion to Mount Abu for the students of Class XII from 27th April to 30th April 2026. Accompanied by their teachers, the group of 212 students embarked on a memorable journey that beautifully blended recreation, adventure, cultural exploration, and experiential learning.

From witnessing the breathtaking panoramic views at Gurushikhar, the highest peak of the Aravalli Range, to experiencing serenity at the Brahma Kumaris Peace Park, the excursion offered students moments of reflection and rejuvenation beyond the classroom. The students also enjoyed boating at the picturesque Nakki Lake, followed by an evening filled with music, laughter, and togetherness.

A major highlight of the trip was the visit to the magnificent Dilwara Temples, where students marvelled at the exquisite marble craftsmanship and timeless architectural brilliance. The guided trek to Sunset Point further fostered resilience, teamwork, and discipline while allowing students to connect closely with nature.

Continuing the spirit of learning beyond textbooks, 175 students of Class X also undertook a similar educational excursion to Mount Abu from 1st May to 4th May 2026.

The excursion proved to be far more than a recreational getaway — it became a journey of discovery, bonding, independence, and unforgettable memories that students will cherish for years to come.

Where History Spoke, Peace Inspired, and Cultures Connected

Day 3 of the Japan Educational Exchange Programme offered the students of Delhi Public School, Navi Mumbai a profound and unforgettable journey through history, culture, and reflection as they travelled from Okayama to Hiroshima and later visited the serene Miyajima Island.

The day began with the students experiencing Japan’s remarkable transportation system and breathtaking landscapes en route to Hiroshima. Upon arrival, they visited the iconic *Atomic Bomb Dome* and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, where they gained deep insight into the events of 1945 and the city’s extraordinary resilience and recovery.

The students also paid homage at the Children’s Peace Monument, inspired by the poignant story of the origami cranes, and observed the Flame of Peace and the Cenotaph — experiences that left them reflective, humbled, and deeply moved by the universal message of peace and humanity.

The journey continued to the enchanting Miyajima Island, where students explored the world-renowned Itsukushima Shrine and its majestic floating torii gate. Interacting with the free-roaming deer and walking through the island’s culturally rich streets allowed them to experience the harmony between nature, spirituality, and daily life in Japan.

The excursion proved to be far more than a sightseeing experience — it became a meaningful lesson in resilience, cultural preservation, empathy, and global understanding. The students returned enriched with knowledge, reflection, and memories that will remain with them for years to come.

🌸✨ Where Cultures Conversed & Friendships Blossomed — Japan Exchange Programme 2026 | Day 2✨🌸

Day 2 of the Indo–Japan Exchange Programme at Okayama Gakugeikan High School, Japan unfolded as a vibrant tapestry of learning, cultural immersion, and unforgettable experiences for the students of Delhi Public School, Navi Mumbai.

The day began with engaging exchange lessons and interactive classroom sessions designed to foster meaningful cross-cultural connections. Conducted through lively games and collaborative activities, the sessions dissolved initial hesitations into easy conversations, laughter, and camaraderie between the Indian and Japanese students.

The students then stepped into the elegant world of Shodō (Japanese Calligraphy), where every brushstroke reflected patience, precision, and artistic mindfulness. This was followed by a warm international lunch shared with Japanese peers, allowing bonds of friendship to deepen over conversations and cultural exchange.

One of the most treasured experiences of the day was the iconic Japanese Tea Ceremony. The students observed and practised its graceful rituals with sincerity and deep respect, gaining insight into the discipline and mindfulness embedded within Japanese traditions.

The day concluded with an energetic Kendō (Japanese fencing) session and the official closing ceremony, during which all 11 exchange students were felicitated with participation certificates by Principal Mr. Ken Mori. Mrs. Vinita Johnson, PGT Chemistry, conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the host school for their extraordinary warmth, generosity, and hospitality.

Beyond classrooms and activities, the programme gifted students something far more enduring — openness to new cultures, mutual respect, adaptability, and friendships that transcend borders.

Delhi Public School, Navi Mumbai proudly continues to nurture global citizenship and intercultural understanding through the Indo–Japan Exchange Programme conducted in collaboration with Okayama Gakugeikan High School, Okayama City, Japan.

A delegation of students, accompanied by Mrs. Vinita Johnson (PGT Chemistry), departed for Japan on 26th May 2026 and arrived at the host institution on 27th May 2026, where they were warmly welcomed by Japanese students and teachers with heartfelt chants of “Namaste”—a gesture that instantly reflected the warmth, respect, and spirit of cultural harmony that defined the programme.

Over the course of the exchange, students immersed themselves in a wide spectrum of enriching experiences including interactive classroom sessions, ice-breaker activities, martial arts demonstrations, Taiko drumming workshops, Japanese Physical Education routines, peer-learning exchanges, and meaningful interactions with host families.

From learning the discipline and synchronisation embedded in Japanese school culture to sharing Indian traditions and values with their international peers, the programme became a beautiful celebration of friendship beyond borders. The students returned with enhanced confidence, adaptability, cultural sensitivity, and unforgettable memories.
