The Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is the tallest twin structure in the world with each of the towers having 88 floors. This building was inaugurated in 1999 and was the tallest structure in the world for five years until the Taipei 101 was built in 2004. The towers are renowned for their panelling technique which used 33000 stainless steel and 55000 glass panels and has noise reduction and sunlight filtering properties. The buildings are joined by a two-way bridge that connects the towers on the 41st floor.
The tallest twin towers in the world serve the headquarters of Petronas (National petroleum company of Malaysia) designed by the Argentine-born American architect Cesar Pelli. The 21st-century icon for Kuala Lumpur has a distinctive postmodern style shaped in eight-pointed stars based on simple Islamic geometric forms of two interlocking squares. The form of the building depicts Islamic principles of “unity within unity, harmony, stability and rationality”.

The Queen Sofia Palace of Arts is an opera house and cultural centre in Valencia, Spain. It opened on 8 October 2005; its first opera staging was of Beethoven's Fidelio on 25 October 2006. Queen Sofía Palace of the Arts is the final structure built of a grand City of Arts and Sciences concept designed by the Valencia-born and internationally known architect Santiago Calatrava, which began in 1995. The building rises 14 stories above ground and includes three stories below ground. Its height is 75 metres (246 ft), being the tallest opera house in the world. Under the metallic, expansive curved-roof structure, 230 m (755 ft) in length, the 40,000 m2 (431,000 sq ft) building contains four auditoriums.
The roof of this structure is its most amazing aspects and it has been constructed with steel to stand free. The radiant white colour of the building is because of the white tile mosaic that covers the roof. The Palace is divided into three sections which host musical performances, conferences and operas.

Rome, Italy hosts the Colosseum, which is one of the world's new seven wonders. Sometimes called the Flavian Amphitheatre, the Colosseum is an oval-shaped amphitheater in the center of the city. Constructed from concrete and sand, it is the largest amphitheater in the world. The Colosseum's construction was initiated in AD 72 by Emperor Vespasian and was finished by AD 80 by his successor, Titus. Domitian, another emperor of the Flavian dynasty later made certain modifications to the amphitheater. The Colosseum had the capacity to host about 80,000 spectators. Mock sea battles, animal hunts, famous battle re-enactments, executions, and mythological dramas were just some of the public spectacles held at the Colosseum. Today, this wonder of the world is a popular tourist attraction and serves as the iconic symbol of Imperial Rome.
