Guidance Session on Certificate course by GGC

J. K. College of Science and Commerce (Autonomous), under the Centre for Skill Development Cell, in collaboration with the Department of Commerce & Allied and the Department of Accounting & Finance, successfully organized a Guidance Session on "Certificate Course by GGC".
The objective of the programme was to create awareness among students about career-oriented certificate courses and provide them with guidance on enhancing their professional skills and employability. The session was attended by students from the Commerce and Accounting & Finance departments, who participated enthusiastically.

During the session, CA Sangram Karwatkar provided detailed information about the certificate courses offered by GGC and explained how these programmes help students acquire practical knowledge, industry exposure, and professional competencies.
On Accounting & Taxation, the speaker focused on the growing demand for professionals in the fields of accounting, GST, income tax, financial reporting, and compliance. Also on Interview Success Guide, the speaker provided students with practical strategies to prepare for campus placements and professional interviews. More important, the speaker introduced the application and showed how to login and access it.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Bhavana Mulani (B.Com Coordinator), Asst. Prof. Kimi Garg (B.Com B&I Coordinator), Asst. Prof. Minakshi Lohani (B.Com A&F Coordinator), and Asst. Prof. Mubina Shaikh (In-Charge, Centre for Skill Development Cell). Their dedicated efforts ensured the smooth planning and successful ex*****on of the event.

Tilak Education Society’s *J.K. College of Science and Commerce (Autonomous), Ghansoli*, in collaboration with the *IQAC, Staff Development & Welfare Committee, B.Com (Banking & Insurance) and M.Com (Banking & Finance) Program*, successfully organized a session on *“Smart Investing for a Secure Future”* on *4th August 2026* at 12:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Hall. The session was conducted for the benefit of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the institution, with *34 staff members* participating in the event.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome extended to the Chief Guest and Resource Person, *Ms. Surabhi Gupta, SEBI Smart Trainer*, by *Asst. Prof. Neha Mishra*. The session focused on creating awareness about the importance of smart and informed investment decisions and building financial security for the future.
Ms. Surabhi Gupta delivered an informative and engaging session, explaining various aspects of investment and financial planning in detail. She highlighted the importance of making informed investment choices, understanding investment avenues, assessing risks, and planning finances effectively for long-term financial security. The session provided participants with practical insights that could assist them in making more responsible and informed investment decisions.
The interactive session also provided an opportunity for the participants to clarify their queries and doubts. *Ms. Surabhi Gupta addressed the questions raised by the participants*
The programme concluded with a *formal Vote of Thanks*, expressing gratitude to the resource person, management, participants, and all those who contributed to the successful organization of the session.

The Centre for Skill Development Cell of J. K. College of Science and Commerce (Autonomous) organized an informative seminar titled "How to Prepare for an MBA" on 4th August 2026 at the Multipurpose Hall. The seminar was specially conducted for Third Year undergraduate students to create awareness about higher education opportunities in management and to guide them in preparing for MBA entrance examinations.
The seminar was delivered by Mr. Niketan Taware, Founder and Managing Director of Brightwayz, who shared his valuable experience in career counselling and MBA preparation. His practical insights helped students understand the importance of planning their careers early and preparing systematically for competitive entrance examinations.

Rainbow Week Celebration 2026
Rainbow Week Celebration 2026 was successfully organized by the Cultural Committee of J.K. College of Science & Commerce, Ghansoli (Autonomous) from 18th July to 24th July 2026. The week-long celebration aimed to promote unity, creativity, positivity, and a vibrant campus atmosphere through a unique colour-themed initiative.
The event encouraged students, faculty members, and staff to participate by wearing the designated colour of the day, symbolising different values while fostering a sense of togetherness and belonging. The colourful participation transformed the college campus into a lively and cheerful environment, strengthening interpersonal relationships among students and enhancing the overall college spirit.
The colour schedule for the week was as follows:

Throughout the week, students enthusiastically participated by dressing according to the day's theme. The vibrant display of colours created an energetic atmosphere across the campus, encouraging interaction, teamwork, and a spirit of inclusiveness. Faculty members also actively participated, making the initiative more engaging and inspiring for students.
The celebration successfully conveyed the message that diversity is a strength and that every colour represents a unique aspect of life, just as every individual contributes to the college community. Rainbow Week not only added joy and excitement to the academic environment but also helped in reducing stress and fostering positive relationships among students.
The Cultural Committee expressed its gratitude to the Principal, Vice Principal, faculty members, student volunteers, and all participants for their wholehearted support and enthusiastic involvement, which contributed to the grand success of the event.

*Report on Job Placement & Internship Drive in association with Seven Group (India).*
The Placement Cell of J. K. College of Science & Commerce (Autonomous), in association with Seven Group (India), successfully organized a Placement & Internship Drive on 31st July 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in Room No. 510.
The objective of the drive was to provide students with valuable employment and internship opportunities while bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. Students from various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes enthusiastically participated in the recruitment process.
The recruitment drive commenced with a brief introduction to Seven Group (India), highlighting the organization's profile, work culture, career opportunities, and selection process. Students attended the session in formal attire and carried their updated resumes and college identity cards as instructed.

The Placement & Internship Drive was successfully conducted under the able guidance of Principal - Dr. Shraddha M. Bhome & Vice Principal - Dr. Remya Anilkumar. They appreciated the efforts of the Placement Cell and Seven Group (India) in organizing the drive and emphasized the importance of such initiatives in enhancing students' employability skills and career prospects. She also encouraged students to make the most of these opportunities for their professional growth.
The event was efficiently coordinated by Placement Cell In-Charge Asst. Prof. Meenakshi Sambamoorthy, with the support of committee members Asst. Prof. Mubina Shaikh , Asst. Prof. Trupti Deshmukh and Asst. Prof. Pooja Gupta.
