Being a Mental health professional and a Psychotherapist isn't a static profession or a mundane job! It is something which is dynamic, alive and unfolding all the time.
For me, it is a passion to understand the endless layers of human beings, becoming aware of the nuances of human behaviour and to be cognisant of the changes that happen over time in the consciousness of us as species.
For me, it is to enhance my will and sharpen my skills to empower those who seem to be lost in their journey and seek help. In this process, I often need to ask my clients difficult questions. And more often, I need to ask myself very difficult questions.
Therapy as a process is not only one about listening to the other or of self validation and feeling good about oneself. But the process gently moves into difficult realms or self reflection, questioning and realising the old patterns that won't help any longer. It moves into the required changes, something which is often not easy to bring.
What gives me Courage and the Will to enter into those hidden mental spaces of others? What helps me to bring those changes in my client's life. Have you ever thought?
It is a constant work of deepening and widening oneself into the realms of the human psyche. Having a sound foundation of the subject matter, aptitude, sensitivity and acumen plays a significant role in making one confident at the intellectual and soul level. Being a psychologist isn't just about doing one's job but taking real interest in Life as a whole. For me, it is the integration of Head, Hands and Heart that has truly made this journey wholesome for me and my clients. With all these tools in my backpack and the striving and will, therapeutic space evolves. It is not me who brings the change in the clients, but their inherent wisdom that unfolds when the space is held with warmth and understanding.
I don't step into the space having a belief that I know it all. Because the moment I do it, something throws me off balance. I deal with another life as it comes. Because I know it can take any turn ✨

*Sadhana Level 2 Training experience (April 2026)*
Last 6 days for me were like a beautiful tapestry, woven with careful planning and ex*****on.
First 2 days we experienced rhythmic massage and external therapy. Coming from our daily routines and fatigue, Chamomile, Yarrow and the compresses did exactly what our bodies and minds needed. Dr Sridhar brought his warmth and depth and created a healing space for everyone.
With the healed bodies, minds and open senses, we delved into bio dynamic farming principles. Tannaz gave us a detailed overview of the cosmic and earthly forces that are active in farming. We experienced creating micro greens, compost and bio enzymes, something which is doable and something that brings health in us and in our eco system. Tannaz made us believe that we all can create our butterfly gardens 🦋
With this connection to nature, we gently moved into wood work. One piece of wood and tools and 20 different types of spoons. What more do we need to prove that each human is an individual and carries their own uniqueness. Woodwork was a symbolism for me. We receive a piece of wood and carve out something. It is the same with life- what we receive and what we carve out of it really matters. It signifies our will and resilience. Sanjay sir is a brilliant teacher and a gentle human being.
Witnessing him as a teacher I have realized that gentleness can be a powerful tool to chisel human beings. He gently weaved in the softness of colours to soothe our aching bodies and souls. Working with colours further gave us courage and inspiration to go deeper into woodwork and challenge ourselves to create something more complicated. With all the will work, we connected with a painting again that helped us incarnate, ending with gentle balm of neem oil 💚
The last 6 days were like a beautiful tapestry, everything woven together meaningfully and consciously, exactly knowing what our bodies, soul and spirit needs. Deeply grateful to Sadhana Association for curating such trainings and to all the fellow colleagues who make this experience wholesome 💝

Colours are silent whisperers of our Soul state!
They can reach the corner most of our beings and bring out what is difficult to approach with intellect and only thought.
When used intentionally and purposefully, they can Reveal as well as Heal! 💫
What takes birth, Grows!
What grows, Decays!
What decays, becomes Wisdom for Future!
See how the tree lets go of the dry leaves and flowers. It knows that something will bloom again!
Yes, something blooms again...In us too!....It may take a different shape but it blooms again!
Embrace Change as it is the eternal truth!

This International Women's Day, let us remind ourselves that-
- Being a woman can be a very different experience for each Woman
- We carry our previous generations within us- in our thoughts, feelings and actions
- It requires genuine interest in another woman to understand them
- Strength need not always have a hard face
- Vulnerability is not a sign of weakness
- Extending support is as important as receiving support
- Womanhood doesn't equal complete sacrifice
- Other woman's boundaries are as important as your own
- Being a woman can be a lifelong struggle to create a balance between what is forced upon but is not a choice and making a choice out of one's own agency
