Courses and Streams Available for NIOS Open School Admission:

NIOS provides the following courses for secondary, senior secondary, vocational courses, life enrichment courses, life skills programs, etc. from primary to pre-degree level:

Secondary Courses – Class 10th :
Secondary course is equivalent to class 10th of CBSE (or other board also), it includes the syllabus containing the chapters of class 10, 9 and some important chapters of 8th class also which are being taught in other boards.

Senior Secondary Courses – Class 12th :
This course is equivalent to class 12th of CBSE (or other boards) including the Latest CBSE syllabus 2018 – 2019 of class 11 and 12 taught in other boards.

Educational Qualification (Eligibility) For Admission In NIOS:
The minimum eligibility criteria for taking admission in Open School is quite basic. For taking new enrollment in secondary and senior secondary class see the table below:

The National Institute of Open Schooling Board Examinations Results for 10th and 12th (April- May 2019) have been declared online on NIOS official site. NIOS has declared 10th and 12th Class Board Examination result for all students who appeared for the March 2019 Board exams. Keeping in mind the convenience of the students, the Board has published the NIOS 10th and 12th result 2019 online. Students can simply check their NIOS 10th or 12th result 2019 now by visiting the official website – nios.ac.in and entering the requisite credentials such as their roll number.

A student if find any discrepancy to in result can apply for Rechecking / Re-evaluation of the result through the online application form available on NIOS website.

About NIOS Board

NIOS or the National Institute of Open Schooling is an Open School Board. The foundation stone of NIOS was laid by CBSE i.e. Central Board of Secondary Education in the year 1979.
