NARRATIVE 0.1

I am here in TISS since 2015. It has been always an immense pleasure to see it away from casteism or any kind of discrimination per se. The sine die notice has shaken me to the core because of a facade done by my fellow batch mate who has got it all wrong and seeing everything in the light and pretext of caste. Others supporting him (so called social scientists and more academically brilliant as compared to what I am) have concluded that they are the most inclusive humans on earth and never done anything wrong in their lives and derogate any factual evidence what so ever was presented to provide the other side of the coin. Anyway, TISS is socially inclusive. I trust my campus. I love my people. I am worried not only about my future but also the institute's future.

Why Now TISS?

The whole idea behind the counter-narrative is to break the single narrative covered by the mainstream media. The entire student body was never consulted for the mode of protest. While we are deeply moved by the student related issues pending in front of the administration, the authoritarian ways in which these issues have been dealt with has put our future as well as the existence of TISS-Hyderabad at risk. We would like to make it clear that we are neither siding with administration nor with SAC and strongly believe both sides are at fault. However, we are critical of the SAC's stance to not explore avenues and their call for an all out protest and hunger strike, their misbehaviour with the faculty and fellow students, and selectively targeting individuals with different viewpoints on class WhatsApp groups and social media.
