A community-based initiative to record audio books in local Indian languages for the 15 million visu

India is home to more than 15 million visually impaired people, which is roughly half the world's visually impaired population. Access to content is one of the major challenges faced by them, specifically with local Indian languages. Project Awaaz is a not-for-profit initiative to bridge this gap and create the world's largest repository of vernacular audio content for the visually impaired.

Project Awaaz is proud to share this video made by Aashay Mehta, a volunteer from Dubai. Aashay did a fabulous job by bringing together volunteers from multiple schools to record more than 150 poems for our website!
