5 things to consider before setting up your own coaching institute:-
1. Finance:- Financial planning is the first step to be considered while planning to set up your own institute. Aspects like rent, deposits, admin overheads, electricity bills; housekeeping etc. needs to be considered. Another most important thing to ponder over is how long you can sustain making losses because obviously you wont break-even in the initial few months of starting up while you will have fixed expenses per month to be paid in the form of rent and overheads. So you should plan out your gestation period.
2. Locality: - Your institute should also be near transport hubs like railway stations, bus stops or roads.
3. Target audience:- Before setting up your institute you should be crystal clear about your target audience i.e. will you be targeting the rich section of the society, middle class or the economic class. This is very imperative to determine the cost structure of your classes.
4. Teachers/faculties:- The strength of a wolf is its pack. Similarly the strength of a coaching institute is its teacher. You will be able to attract students only if you have high quality teachers with good track record teaching in your institute. Another important decision to be made is whether you will hire the teachers on a payroll basis or as a freelancer on an hourly basis. NEVER COMPROMISE ON THE QUALITY OF YOUR TEACHERS. NEVER
