World Piles Day 2025 ✨
Our Department of Shalya Ta**ra, School of Ayurveda, D.Y. Patil Deemed to be University, proudly celebrated World Piles Day 2025 with a perfect blend of community service and academic enrichment. The day began with a successful Mega Health Check-up Camp at Nerul, where awareness was raised on piles and its prevention, along with free screening and treatment guidance. With over 100 patients benefitting, the camp truly reflected our commitment toward public health and compassionate care.

The academic session that followed brought immense enthusiasm among UG and PG students as the event was inaugurated by our respected Dean Dr. Mahesh Kumar Harith. We were deeply honored to welcome distinguished dignitaries — Dr. Sandesh Deolekar as the Chief Guest, Dr. Sheela Kohad (HOD, Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya Sion), Dr. Kailash Jawade (Professor of Surgery, School of Medicine), and Dr. Nilesh Doshi (Professor of Practice), who shared valuable insights on piles disease and its management. Their presence enriched the scientific spirit of the day.

Post-session, the dignitaries visited the Department of Shalya Ta**ra, engaging with faculty members and emphasizing the need for stronger integration of Ayurveda with modern medical science to advance patient care. The day concluded with a sense of pride and purpose — celebrating awareness, knowledge, and the future of integrative healthcare.

The Celebrations included Free Diagnosis & Treatment Camp at the hospital where all the patients received free consultation and free medicines. This was followed by a unique Anorectal disease awareness initiative in the form of an excellent skit(drama) performed by our beloved students along with a thought provoking guest lecture by Dr Yunus Solanki - Ex Professor(R A Poddar Govt Medical College, Worli)
