We had to shut down school last year on the 16th of March since government had announced a temporary lockdown which later continued endlessly. We cannot conduct online classes as the villagers do not own devices which can be used to conduct the claases. Hence.....in the month of August 2020 we started Tution classes in small batches adhering to the norms of keeping social distance. This way the children are not wasting their time but instead keeping up with their studies. Praying that things will get back to normalcy soon..

School reopened on 10th June. Love to see the fresh smiling faces.
The senior children walked in confidently while the newer ones arrived scared and hesitant and wailing.....
But within a few days...the situation totally changes. These wailing faces start smiling, new confidence is gained, new friendships are made and then on the chaos starts.....they run around wildly...scream....play....and I wonder...are these the same children who were crying just a few days ago ????

Exams over. Had a wonderful parents teacher meeting. Vacations for Diwali start from 5th November. Children were so excited to show off to their parents all that they have learnt so far.

School reopened on 11the June. The older students have graduated and gone to higher grade. While we have brand new entrants for this academic year. The initial crying and screaming is over and they have settled down now. So exciting to see them getting used to the new environment in school and lapping up all that is taught in school.

Admissions on for Academic year 2017 - 2018. So excited about having new students. Some older students have gone away to boarding schools. It is so difficult to convince some of the parents that it is best to bring up a child in our homes. Well we can't change the minds of some people. The good news is that we're having a good flow of new students coming from as far as 10 kms.
Another good news is that we're opening a new branch of our school about 70 kms from our present location in a village called Vardali, taluka Sakri, dist-Dhule.

I want to thank all my Face Book friends who have responded to my message about our need for a school bus for our tiny tots who walk 5 kilometers from home to school daily and then back again in the heat for the same distance and contributed towards the school bus. We have received approximately Rupees 95,000/-. We are looking for a second hand vehicle (A Tata Winger costing Rupees 210000 or a Force Tempo costing Rupees 175000). We have a shortfall of Rupees 115000 to 80000). I earnestly urge my FB friends to help us educate these Tribal Children by contributing towards this specific need. Our Bank details are as under :

School re-opens on 13th June 2017. This session wiil be the beginning of our 4th year. We have already started admissions for the year 2017-2018. We are getting good response at both the schools - Khekda and Warsa.

Hey FB friends, it's been a very long time since I've posted anything. Today I'd like to urge all my dear friends to help me for a cause. As most of you know, I've started 2 schools - Shalom International School - Khekda (Navapur) and Warsa (Pimpalner) - for the Tribals (The Bhil Adivasis) of the North Maharashtra-Gujarat belt. We are in need of a school bus (or a van) to transport children to our school. Some Tiny Tots walk for almost 4 kms every morning to attend school because they don't have vehicles to drop them to school. While some want to attend school but because of the distance, they cannot attend. We want to give these children a fair chance in life and educate them. Our school is not funded by anyone neither by any organistion nor by Government.
We have been looking for a second hand vehicle (bus/van). Some family members and friends have helped us raise Rupees Thirty Seven thousand (Rs.37,000) for this cause. Please help us in our effort to raise funds for a vehicle. We will appreciate any amount that you are able to give. Our Bank Account details are as follows :-
