Manish Kumar Creates History in Judo!!

Silver Medalist Manish Kumar Becomes the First Judo Player from Siddharthnagar to Qualify for the CBSE National Championship

Ganga National Public School is proud to announce a remarkable achievement by Manish Kumar, a 13-year-old Class VI student of the school.

At the CBSE East Zone Judo Championship, held from 11 to 15 August 2026 at Subhash Chandra Academy, Varanasi, Manish won the Silver Medal in the Under-14, 30 kg weight category and secured his place in the CBSE National Games, scheduled to be held in Karnal, Haryana, from 29 September to 4 October 2026.

This achievement is historic as Manish has become the first player from Siddharthnagar to qualify for the CBSE National Judo Championship.

Manish displayed exceptional determination and sporting spirit throughout the championship. He defeated a player from Bihar in the quarter-final and a player from Jharkhand in the semi-final, earning his place in the final and ultimately securing the Silver Medal.🥈
