34 Students Placed in Campus Drive at Mahavir Polytechnic; Leading IT Companies Offer Career Opportunities

Mahavir Polytechnic, Nashik, successfully organized a Campus Placement Drive for students of the Computer Engineering, Information Technology (IT), and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AIML) departments, providing a valuable platform for students and alumni to connect with leading IT industries and secure promising career opportunities.

The placement drive witnessed the participation of reputed companies including Exilance Software, SoftCrowd Technologies, NPiT Solutions, and Shivmudra Computer Services. The recruitment process was conducted in multiple stages comprising an Aptitude Test, followed by a Group Discussion Round, and finally a one-to-one HR Interview for shortlisted candidates. Students enthusiastically participated in all rounds, demonstrating their technical knowledge, communication skills, and professional aptitude.

As a result of the rigorous selection process, 34 students were successfully placed in various technical and professional roles across the participating organizations. This achievement reflects the strong academic foundation, industry-oriented training, and skill development initiatives consistently provided by Mahavir Polytechnic. The placement drive was organized under the guidance of Mr. Anup Sonawane (HOD, Computer Engineering), Ms. Gauri Sonawane (HOD, AIML), and Ms. Shivani Pawar (HOD, Information Technology). Their continuous support, along with the dedicated efforts of faculty members, contributed significantly to the success of the recruitment process.

SCOE Faculty Member Dr. Swapnil V. Lokhande Earns Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering

Shree Mahavir Education Society’s Sanghavi College of Engineering, Nashik, proudly celebrates a remarkable academic achievement as Dr. Swapnil Vitthalrao Lokhande, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis titled “Development and Analysis of Non-Asbestos Composite for Two-Wheeler Disc Brake Pad” at Oriental University, Indore.

Dr. Lokhande has been associated with Sanghavi College of Engineering since 2017 and has consistently demonstrated excellence in academics, research, and institutional development. During his tenure, he has served as the Coordinator of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) for the past three years and has made significant contributions to NAAC-related activities, various institute-level committees, and the institution’s governance and quality enhancement initiatives.

His doctoral research focused on the development of an innovative and sustainable non-asbestos composite brake pad for two-wheelers. Traditionally, asbestos was widely used in brake pads due to its excellent thermal and frictional properties; however, its severe health and environmental hazards led researchers to seek safer alternatives. Dr. Lokhande’s research explored the use of coconut shell-based composite materials as an eco-friendly substitute. Through extensive experimentation and analysis, the study demonstrated that coconut shell composites offer excellent wear resistance, thermal stability, and braking performance while remaining cost-effective and environmentally sustainable. The research contributes significantly to the advancement of green engineering solutions in the automotive sector.

The research work was carried out under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Mohammed Ali, Principal of Sanghavi College of Engineering, who is also a recognized Ph.D. Guide at Oriental University, Indore. His valuable mentorship, technical expertise, and continuous guidance played a crucial role in the successful completion of the research.

Review Article by Mahavir Institute of Pharmacy Published in International Journal

Mahavir Institute of Pharmacy has earned recognition in the field of pharmaceutical research as final-year student Raksha Jadhav, along with faculty member Prof. Priyanka Thore and Principal Dr. Anil Jadhav, successfully published a review article titled “Ash Gourd in Modern Drug Delivery: Exploring Novel Formulations and its Applications” in the prestigious International Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Vol. 4, Issue 4, 2026).

The review article highlights the medicinal and therapeutic importance of Benincasa hispida (Ash Gourd), popularly known as “Kushmanda” in Ayurveda. The publication discusses the plant’s anti-inflammatory, antioxidative, and detoxifying properties along with its rich mineral content including calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, and selenium. The article also reviews the traditional medicinal use of ash gourd in managing diabetes, liver disorders, urinary infections, chronic inflammation, and neurological conditions, while exploring its potential applications in modern pharmaceutical drug-delivery systems.

The management of Shri Mahavir Education Society congratulated Raksha Jadhav and the research team for this academic achievement. Facilitation Center Inaugurated at Mahavir Polytechnic

“Today, industries are not looking only for degree holders but for skilled students. In this rapidly changing technological era, skill-based education is giving a new direction to students’ careers. There is a strong need for facility centers that can provide proper guidance and opportunities to students after Class 10 and 12,” said Dr. Priyanka Zawar, Director of Shree Mahavir Education Society, during the inauguration ceremony of the newly established Facilitation Center at Mahavir Polytechnic.

The event was attended by Dr. Sambhaji Sagare, Principal of Mahavir Polytechnic; Dr. Mohammad Ali, Principal of Sanghavi College of Engineering; Dr. Anil Jadhav, Principal of Mahavir Institute of Pharmacy; along with department heads and faculty members including Prof. Sanjay Bhamare, Prof. Mayur Gaidhani, Prof. Santosh Wable, Prof. Anup Sonawane, Prof. Satish Deore, Prof. Snehal Pagare, Prof. Gauri Sonawane, and Prof. Yogesh Ahire.

Dr. Priyanka Zawar further stated that today’s students are studying in an era of global competition. Along with traditional education, technical education that develops practical skills is making students more employable. She emphasized that understanding the needs of industries and opting for technical education at an early stage can open several new career opportunities for students. She added that the Facilitation Center at Mahavir Polytechnic would not only guide students regarding admissions but would also serve as an effective platform to shape their future careers.

In view of the upcoming online admission schedule for the First-Year Diploma courses, which will soon be announced by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, Mahavir Polytechnic has recently started a Facilitation Center to assist students with online admission form filling, document verification, and providing information regarding First-Year and Direct Second-Year Diploma courses. The center was inaugurated by Dr. Priyanka Zawar.

Mahavir Polytechnic, located on Mhasrul–Varvandi Road, Nashik, has been designated as an official “Facilitation Center” for CAP admissions. This facility has been introduced considering the convenience of students and parents from Nashik, Panchavati, Meri, Mhasrul, RTO, and Dindori areas, making the admission process more accessible to them.

Principal Dr. Sambhaji Sagare stated that since Diploma admissions do not require any CET examination, students are showing increased interest toward Diploma education this year. He added that skill-oriented Diploma courses are becoming more popular among students, resulting in higher inquiries for admissions.

The administration has appealed to parents and students to take advantage of this center. The center provides 24-hour information and guidance support. Shree Mahavir Education Society’s, Mahavir Institute of Pharmacy has achieved a proud academic milestone as final-year student Joel Alexander successfully published a review article in the reputed World Journal of Biology Pharmacy and Health Sciences. The achievement highlights the institute’s growing research culture and commitment to academic excellence.

The paper titled “A Comparative Pharmacological Review of Phaleria macrocarpa and Boswellia serrata as Potential Therapeutics for Inflammatory Bowel Disease” was co-authored by Joel Alexander along with faculty members Prof. Anagha Sarvadnya and Principal Dr. Anil Jadhav. The study presents a comprehensive scientific analysis of the pharmacological potential of these medicinal plants in the management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), emphasizing their anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties.
