Sunita Williams
An Indian-American astronaut who's been on an amazing journey in space. After being stuck in space for over nine months due to technical issues with her spacecraft, Sunita Williams is finally back on Earth.
She returned aboard the SpaceX Dragon capsule, which safely splashed down in the Atlantic Ocean or Gulf of Mexico.
Sunita Williams' journey is an inspiration to us all. She showed incredible courage and adaptability during her extended stay in space. Now that she's back, she'll have to adjust to life on Earth again, which can be challenging after being in space for so long.
Let's all welcome Sunita Williams back to Earth and congratulate her on her incredible journey!

February 27, 2025 - Daffodils English Medium School proudly observed Marathi Divas, commemorating the birth anniversary of renowned Marathi poet, Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar.
The day started with the diya lighting ceremony by our Honorable Principal Sir, Mr. Vaibhav Sonawane followed by his inspiring and informative speech on the importance of this day.
The students and staff came together to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and language of Maharashtra. The day's festivities included:
- Traditional Marathi attire and decorations
- Cultural performances, featuring songs, dances, and skits
- Inspiring speeches by students and teachers
The celebration aimed to promote the importance of Marathi language and culture, while fostering a sense of community and pride among students and staff.
The Marathi Divas celebration at Daffodils English Medium School was a grand success, filled with enthusiasm, creativity, and cultural richness.

School Picnic to Baswant Honeybee Park
Daffodils English Medium School organized a picnic to Baswant Honeybee Park on 15/2/2025. The students and staff had a wonderful time exploring the park's facilities, learning about beekeeping, and enjoying the scenic surroundings.
The picnic was a huge success, and we thank all the students, teachers, and non-teaching staff who made it possible.
Highlights of the Picnic were:
- Guided tour of the beekeeping facilities
- Interactive sessions on bee conservation and honey production
- Fun-filled activities and games
- Delicious food and refreshments
We look forward to organizing more such events in the future!

Daffodils English Medium School observed the 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and pride. The event was expertly anchored by Mrs. Nita Kulkarni.
The celebrations commenced with our honorable Principal, Mr. Vaibhav Sonawane, sharing valuable insights on the significance of Republic Day. This was followed by an introductory speech by Mrs. Poonam Dhatrak.
Hamsini Kamat (Grade V) delivered impressive speech on the importance of Republic Day, showcasing the patriotic spirit.
The event was made more vibrant with a captivating dance performance by the students, highlighting the values of patriotism and national unity.
The day concluded with engaging activities, including tricolor badge making and tricolor salad making, which were enthusiastically participated in by all students.
The event was attended by Supervisor Sarika Gabhane, teachers, and staff members, who all came together to make the celebration a memorable one.

On 23rd January, 2025 Daffodils English Medium School commemorated the birth anniversary of the legendary freedom fighter, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, during the morning assembly. The event began with our honorable Principal, Mr. Vaibhav Sonawane, lighting the diyas and offering a floral tribute.
Mrs. Pamee Deb delivered an informative speech, sharing valuable insights about Netaji's life, struggles, and contributions to India's independence movement. The assembly was attended by all teachers and staff members.
