Coding begins beyond screens.
Through hands-on materials like Froebel Gift 5, children explore
patterns, balance, and structure while developing early coding
skills such as sequencing, logical thinking, and pattern
recognition.
A meaningful step towards building strong pre-coding and
numeracy foundations.

At Podar International School, learning comes alive through creativity and hands-on experiences! πΏβ¨
Our students enthusiastically participated in an interactive activity on the formation of the greatest and smallest numbers. Using a given set of digits, they carefully analysed and arranged the numbers to create the greatest and smallest possible combinations. To make the activity even more engaging, students recorded their answers on creatively designed big and small leaf templates. π
This fun-filled learning experience enhanced their logical thinking, strengthened number sense, and encouraged active participation through a visual and practical approach to learning mathematics. πβπ’

πΏ Learning Beyond the Classroom! πΏ
The students of Grade 4 Sapphire enthusiastically participated in an engaging EVS activity on βExternal Structure of a Leafβ from the chapter Plants Make Food, under the able guidance of Ms. Swapnali R.
Through hands-on observation and labeling of real leaves, students explored and identified important parts of a leaf such as the Lamina, Midrib, Veins, Petiole, and Base. π
This interactive activity helped students understand how different parts of a leaf support the process of photosynthesis by transporting water, minerals, and food while trapping sunlight efficiently.
β¨ The activity encouraged:
βοΈ Observation and identification skills
βοΈ Understanding of plant structure and functions
βοΈ Experiential and joyful learning
Our young learners displayed great curiosity and creativity while learning about nature in a practical way! π±π

π’ Making Math Fun and Meaningful! π’
Students enthusiastically participated in an engaging classroom activity on Place Value that helped strengthen their understanding of numbers in an interactive way. β¨
During the activity, students identified the place value of digits such as ones, tens, hundreds, and beyond. They carefully observed the underlined digit in given numbers and determined its correct place value with confidence.
To make learning more exciting and visually effective, students used vibrant colors like π blue, π yellow, and 𧑠orange to highlight the place values. This hands-on approach helped them visualize number concepts clearly while improving accuracy, observation skills, and mathematical confidence.
π The activity encouraged:
βοΈ Better understanding of place value concepts
βοΈ Visual and interactive learning
βοΈ Increased confidence in Mathematics
βοΈ Fun-filled classroom participation
Learning becomes more effective when students explore concepts creatively and actively! πβ¨

πΏ **Learning Beyond the Classroom!** πΏ
Subject: EVS
Topic: *Plants Make Food*
Activity: *Internal Structure of Leaf & Its Importance in Photosynthesis*
Grade: 4 | Class: Pearl
Guided by: Ms. Swapnali R.
Our Grade 4 students explored the fascinating world of plants through a hands-on activity focused on the internal structure of a leaf π±
They discovered that the leaf is the *βkitchen of the plantβ* where food is prepared through photosynthesis. Through this activity, students learned:
π Chlorophyll captures sunlight
π Stomata take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen
π§ Veins transport water and distribute food
π Plants use sunlight, air, and water to make their own food and provide oxygen
Students actively identified the key parts of a leaf and understood how chlorophyll, stomata, and veins work together to support life on Earth.
A wonderful step towards nurturing young scientists! π
