The students of Grade 4 Sapphire enthusiastically participated in an engaging EVS activity on “External Structure of a Leaf” from the chapter Plants Make Food, under the able guidance of Ms. Swapnali R.

Through hands-on observation and labeling of real leaves, students explored and identified important parts of a leaf such as the Lamina, Midrib, Veins, Petiole, and Base. 🍃

This interactive activity helped students understand how different parts of a leaf support the process of photosynthesis by transporting water, minerals, and food while trapping sunlight efficiently.

Students enthusiastically participated in an engaging classroom activity on Place Value that helped strengthen their understanding of numbers in an interactive way. ✨

During the activity, students identified the place value of digits such as ones, tens, hundreds, and beyond. They carefully observed the underlined digit in given numbers and determined its correct place value with confidence.

To make learning more exciting and visually effective, students used vibrant colors like 💙 blue, 💛 yellow, and 🧡 orange to highlight the place values. This hands-on approach helped them visualize number concepts clearly while improving accuracy, observation skills, and mathematical confidence.

Our Grade 4 students explored the fascinating world of plants through a hands-on activity focused on the internal structure of a leaf 🌱

They discovered that the leaf is the *“kitchen of the plant”* where food is prepared through photosynthesis. Through this activity, students learned:

🌞 Chlorophyll captures sunlight
🍃 Stomata take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen
💧 Veins transport water and distribute food
🌍 Plants use sunlight, air, and water to make their own food and provide oxygen

Students actively identified the key parts of a leaf and understood how chlorophyll, stomata, and veins work together to support life on Earth.

“Learning becomes joyful when creativity meets enthusiasm.”
Podar International School, Pathardi celebrated a fun-filled Bagless Day on the last working day of April, marking a joyful beginning to the summer vacation.
The day was planned with four engaging activity-based periods — Sports, Music, Art & Craft, and Dance.

The first period featured an exciting Sports Activity where students enjoyed Passing the Parcel under the guidance of their teachers. The Music Activity filled classrooms with enthusiasm as students actively participated by identifying and singing songs.

The highlight of the day was the Art & Craft session, where students expressed their creativity through class-wise themes: Grade 1 – Ice Cream, Mango; Grade 2 – Umbrella, Peacock; Grade 3 – Sun Scenery, Aquarium; Grade 4 – Fruit Basket, Picnic; Grade 5 – Desert; Grade 6 – Beach Scenery; Grade 7 – Save Water; Grade 8 – Global Warming; Grade 9 – Clean India, Green India; and Grade 10 – Nature vs Technology.

The day concluded with energetic Dance Activities in respective classes. Students and teachers thoroughly enjoyed the day while maintaining discipline, making it a memorable and creative learning experience.
