Atal Tinkering Day 2022 is celebrated in Guru Gobind Singh Public School & Jr. College

Guru Gobind Singh Public School and Jr College had privilege of participating in an online Maths Olympiad during the second half of January.

This was hosted by the gaming app Prodigy which encourages children to learn Maths while playing and thus retain their interest and enthusiasm for the subject of Maths which is generally considered to be difficult, not liked, dangerous etc by children. The gaming aap shatters this myth effectively.

10 schools of Nashik participated in the Olympiad and a total of 1733 students were active participants. Of this 107 students were from Guru Gobind Singh Public School. There were games which were mapped to their chapters bring taught and teachers too showed keen interest by assigning many assignments for the students to clear before they could move on to their next level in gaming.

Guru Gobind Singh Public School stood 6th and Om Patil of Std 6th stood 17th in nasik by playing 1600+ games and crossing more than 60 levels.

The principal took keen interest during the entire process by visiting each class and motivating children to play more games and refer to their Math teachers whenever they faced any hurdle.

All the teachers of GGSPS wishes Om all success in his path towards being a Prodigy!

National Science Day is celebrated in secondary section. This year, the theme for National Science Day 2020 is "Women in Science", which aims to appreciate the contribution of women in the field of science.

BLOOMING SCIENTISTS OF GURU GOBIND SINGH PUBLIC SCHOOL & JR.COLLEGE

GURU GOBIND SINGH PUBLIC SCHOOL& JR. COLLEGE students shined at STEM FEST 2019 Science exhibition. The idea of the science exhibition is conceptualized by Rudra- the Practical school. Students from Guru Gobind Singh Public School with the theme of “Smart Farm “under the category of “Renewal Energy” came out with flying colors throughout the exhibition. They performed exceedingly well and secured first position. Abhijeet Borade & Nihal Singh (VIIIA) received the mementoes and trophies for the first position for their mind blowing innovative ideas.

The exhibition was based on themes Renewal Energy, Clean India, Solution of Pollution, and Chemical Reaction in Action. Total 19 schools all over Nashik participated in the exhibition. The school was honoured by the appreciation certificate. They marked the beginning of the new era with novel ideas. The winners and the participants were congratulated by C.E.O. of the institute Sardar. Permindur Singh Dhindsa, Principal of the school Mrs. Shilpa Bhoricha and Head Master Mr. Dilip Pawar for their mesmorizing success.

Guru Gobind Singh Public School actively participated in the 'Gandhian Challenge' launched by NITI Aayog under the theme Science, Technology and Innovation.
Under this theme, students have attempted to build small science prototype to nurture their ideas.
