Guru Gobind Singh Foundation was set-up in 1978 by the prominent and illustrious Punjabi Sikhs of Nasik with the primary objective of providing quality education to the students irrespective of their caste, creed, religion or nationality so as to promote morality, patriotism, self-respect and self-confidence. The Foundation made a very humble beginning in 1978 by starting Guru Gobind Singh Public

School with just nine students and a room in the Gurudwara and achieved spectacular success over the years. Today it has 12 acres of land, three ultra-modern buildings, one for Guru Gobind Singh Public School, second for Guru Gobind Singh Polytechnic and the third for Guru Gobind Singh College of Engineering and Research Centre, a vast Playground, Sophisticated Laboratories and other infrastructure.

🎙️ The session was delivered by Mr. Shrikant Bidwai, Senior Consultant, CAD CAM Guru Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
The session provided students with valuable insights into industry expectations, CAD/CAM/CAE skills, problem-solving, communication, adaptability, certifications, and project-based learning.

The Department of Civil Engineering successfully organized an expert session on "Irrigation Systems and Career Opportunities for Civil Engineering Students" in association with IWWA.

The session was conducted by Dr. Mukund Shinde, Director, MIDC Skill Development Centre, Nashik, and Er. Aniket Kale, Trainer, MIDC Skill Development Centre, Nashik.

The experts provided valuable insights into modern irrigation systems, emerging career opportunities in the irrigation sector, employment prospects in private industries, and entrepreneurship avenues for Civil Engineering graduates. Through an engaging and interactive discussion, students gained practical knowledge and a deeper understanding of the evolving demands of the industry.

The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. V. N. Kanthe, Head of the Department, Civil Engineering.

🤝 Strengthening Industry–Academia Collaboration!

Guru Gobind Singh College of Engineering & Research Centre (GCOERC), Nashik, proudly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the MIDC Skill Development Centre, Nashik, to empower students with industry-focused skills, practical exposure, and enhanced career opportunities.

The MoU was signed by Dr. N. G. Nikam, Principal, GCOERC, and Dr. M. G. Shinde, Director, MIDC Skill Development Centre, in the presence of Ms. Sapana Girase and Ms. Poonam Thakare.

As part of this collaboration, an insightful session on "Irrigation System and Career Opportunities" was conducted for Civil Engineering students. Dr. M. G. Shinde inspired students by highlighting the expanding opportunities in the irrigation and infrastructure sectors, while Mr. Aniket Kale introduced the skill development and certification programs that can strengthen students' technical expertise and employability.

The Department of Automation and Robotics successfully organized an insightful Expert Session on "Future Need of Additive Manufacturing", delivered by Mr. Pushkar Suryawanshi, 3D Shikshan, Pune.

The session highlighted the transformation of Additive Manufacturing from rapid prototyping to full-scale production across industries such as aerospace, healthcare, defense, and automotive. Students also gained valuable insights into the integration of AM with Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and IoT in the Industry 4.0 era, along with its sustainability benefits and the growing demand for skilled AM professionals.

The interactive session encouraged enthusiastic participation, helping students understand emerging technologies, future industry trends, and career opportunities in Additive Manufacturing.

🌟 AI Image Generation Competition – Tribute to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam 🇮🇳✨

On the occasion of the Death Anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the Department of Automation and Robotics, Guru Gobind Singh College of Engineering and Research Centre, Nashik, successfully organized an AI Image Generation Competition on 28th July 2026.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from SE, TE, and BE students, who showcased their creativity by generating AI-powered artwork inspired by the life, vision, and legacy of the "Missile Man of India" and the "People's President." Among all the entries, the Top 10 AI-generated images were selected based on creativity, originality, and relevance to the theme.

This initiative encouraged students to explore the creative potential of Artificial Intelligence while paying a meaningful tribute to one of India's greatest visionaries through digital innovation.

The event was coordinated by Prof. Poonam R. Chakule under the guidance of Dr. Sandip S. Patil, Head of the Department, Automation and Robotics.

On 31st July 2026, a workshop on "Activity-Based Learning" was organized and conducted by Ms. Gagdhani. The session began with the felicitation of the resource person by Dean Sabharwal Ma'am and Principal Naidu Ma'am. The workshop was highly informative, interactive, and engaging. Teachers actively participated in and enjoyed various learning activities, making the session lively and enjoyable. It provided valuable insights into activity-based teaching methods and inspired teachers to make classroom learning more effective and student-centered. Overall, it was an interesting and enriching experience for all the participants.
