We are delighted to celebrate the publication of a new original research article, “Pollination Requirements and Their Impact on Yield of Sikkim Mandarin”, in the Current Agriculture Research Journal!

The Department of Botany, Sikkim Alpine University, successfully conducted the Synopsis Presentation of 4th Semester students, marking an important academic milestone in their research journey.

The session provided a valuable platform for students to present their research ideas, receive constructive feedback, and refine their scientific approach. Such exercises are essential in nurturing critical thinking, strengthening methodological clarity, and fostering a deeper understanding of research as a cornerstone of academic and professional growth.

On 21st November 2024, The Botanical and Zoological Society of Sikkim Alpine University led the charge for a cleaner and greener future with a successful Cleanliness Drive and Awareness Program on the theme "Ban on Single-Use Plastic."
The event started with an inspiring introduction and a Swachhata Pledge where students, faculty, and dignitaries united to commit to a sustainable lifestyle. The day’s highlight was a hands-on cleanliness drive, where participants tackled the campus and surrounding areas, proving that collective action can make a real difference.
