One of CSA's Biggest Milestone - Summer Science Camp in Moti Nagar Centre - led by CSA Director, VV Jyothi. 🎉

The seven-day summer science camp, organized by Common School Association (CSA) in association with 's (JVV) Hyderabad City Committee, concluded on a high note this Sunday at the CSA Moti Nagar learning center, led by the able guidance of CSA Director, VV Jyothi. The event was a resounding success, bringing together students, experts, and educators to foster a love for science and critical thinking.

CSA, through JVV's engaging activities and expert-led sessions on storytelling, magical science and fun math activities, superstitions versus science, healthy food, and astronomy, created a space for students to gain a deeper understanding of science and its role in society and everyday life.

Team CSA wishes to highlight how these camps ignite creativity and curiosity among students, aligning with CSA's vision to nurture children's scientific temper through questions and learning.

Team CSA, along with Raja, JVV State Secretary, stressed the importance of continued efforts to enhance education, especially for underprivileged students, through more such meaningful collaborations.

These are children of the same age group and class but with different learning levels and individual tastes. Despite speaking the same mother tongue there is a strong variation in their dialect.

Supposing, an IQ test is used to measure their intelligence it will fail to capture their full potential. They were unable to recognise scrambled letters when they first enrolled at our learning centre. They were facing difficulty on the language front.

Our teachers found it challenging to describe any word, idea, or phrase in either their mother tongue or English.

There was a use of force and violent language while interacting with their peers and others. They were irregular in attending school and the learning centre.

When asked to explain something in their own words in any language, they used to stumble. They faced difficulty with reading, writing and speaking.
After a thorough observation and assessment, we framed a few golden rules:

• Every child can learn; the responsibility is ours.
• Respect the existing knowledge they bring to the classroom, using it to build new knowledge… They are not empty containers to be filled by the rigid textbook concepts.
• Connect concepts with the world around them.
Our committed intervention methods brought transformation in their learning.
Now their hidden strengths are visibly exposed. We can associate them with at least one of the following talents:
• Very good at writing and talking. Likes to make stories.
• Comfortable with abstract symbols, recognize patterns, and see connections between separate pieces of information.
• Good at interpersonal relations. Always smiling and responding positively. Shows a lot of patience while taking part in teamwork.
• Love for nature. Shows interest in plants. Keeps questioning about trees, insects and animals.
• Capacity to think in images and pictures, to visualize accurately and abstractly.

Now they are ready for any rigorous challenge with a smile and confidence, and bringing the ingenious qualities out of children is what we truly aim for.

We, Team Common School Association (CSA), proudly present a short video about ourselves and our work since 2021. From humble beginnings, our learning centers have become binding agents in the community they operate in, creating a ripple effect in the larger world around. We try and create non-regimented, happy learning spaces for children in underprivileged areas, where access to education is scarce.

Currently, we have 5 such learning centres - 2 of them in Alwal and Moti Nagar of Hyderabad, 2 of them in Jangaon village, and 1 in Keshavaram village of the Medchal district. With a holistic approach to strengthening community schooling while also involving the local community in our work, CSA is solely driven by a strong will to ensure education is free and equal for all children alike.

Led by women of diverse age-groups and expertise, we are a growing family of committed teachers, loving volunteers, supporters and many curious children!

We sincerely thank Prof. Shantha Sinha for launching our video, followed by an insightful discussion on "Field Realities of Education on the Margins".

🌟 Meet Rony, the Math Maestro and Guitar Guru of our CSA Alwal Centre! 🎸

We take a moment to appreciate Rony, as he's not just your average math teacher, but a magician who weaves enchantment into numbers and melodies into equations! 🎩✨

But Rony's magic doesn't stop there. He's not only an incredible educator but also a compassionate soul. In the photo, one can see Akhil, our lively little class 1 student who was a tad bit irregular to the learning centre.

So what did Rony do? Well, Rony, with all his charm, decided to change that. He took the initiative to ensure Akhil wouldn't miss out on the wonders of learning. How did he do it? By making a personal house visit!

Rony didn't just teach math; he brought the magic of education right to Akhil's doorstep. Thanks to his dedication and personal touch, Akhil now beams with excitement to come to the centre every day.

Thank you, Rony, for being more than just a teacher; children love you for a reason! 🙌💫

Common School Association in collaboration with Autism Ashram, has launched its fifth Learning Centre in the heart of Keshavaram village. This remarkable partnership was envisioned by Dr. Kundra, who recognized the pressing need to enhance educational opportunities for the village's children.

Dr. Kundra not only initiated the collaboration, but also delivered on his promise by providing a spacious, well-ventilated hall furnished with essential teaching materials. As we eagerly seek candidates to fill the roles of passionate and dedicated tutors, Autism Ashram volunteers have stepped up to keep the centre running.

Dr. Kundra's outreach to the community and his ability to persuade parents about CSA's Learning Centres is truly commendable.

Our Learning Centre is driven by a set of clear objectives:

1. Personalized Education: We aim to offer tailored attention, accommodating the unique needs and learning pace of each child.

2. Holistic Development: Our focus extends beyond academics to nurture essential social skills, emotional well-being, and a rich array of extracurricular activities.

3. Community Engagement: We wholeheartedly encourage families to actively engage in their children's education, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.

4. Educational Equality: We are committed to addressing disparities in access to quality education, promoting a level playing field for all children alike.

5. Nurturing Environment: Our goal is to create a nurturing space where these children can not only excel academically but also grow socially, bolstering their confidence and self-esteem.

The journey has just begun, and together, we look forward to illuminating the path of knowledge for these young minds, ensuring they have every opportunity to flourish.

Happy announcement, folks!
