INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO SUN PHARMA

B. Pharmacy 1st Year students of Aakash Institute of Medical Sciences, Nalagarh, Distt. Solan, Himachal Pradesh visited the renowned multinational company SUN PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRIES, BAROTIWALA, DISTT. SOLAN, H.P. Students were accompanied by the two faculty members Ms. Diksha Sharma (Associate Professor) and Ms. Manisha Kaushik (Assistant Professor). The objective of industrial visit was to make aware the students about the manufacturing aspects of SUN PHARMA, BAROTIWALA. A brief presentation was given by Dr. Amit Kumar, HR Manager on the establishment of SUN PHARMA and its marketing strategies. Students learned about different stages of processing namely mixing of raw ingredients, sterilization, fermentation, blending, filling/sealing, packaging and storing. Students participated with great zeal to make the visit interactive. Visit was proved to be a great learning experience for all the students. The visit remained successful due to efforts of our Associate Professor Ms. Diksha Sharma.

World’s Pharmacist Day was celebrated by the Aakash Institute of Medical Sciences, Nalagarh, Distt. Solan, Himachal Pradesh. The event was organized on 26th September, 2022 Each year welcomes a new theme to developed to showcase the pharmacist in their positive effect on health. “Pharmacy United in Action for a Healthier World" is the theme of this year’s World Pharmacists Day. This theme was chosen to reflect the numerous contributions the pharmacy profession makes to health. From research and development of medicines, to educating future pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists, and providing direct care, we do all this in the service of our patients and communities.
The event started with arrival of chief guests Honorable Sh. Gopal Krishan Sharma, President, Himachal Pradesh State Pharmacy Council and Dr. Bhupesh Gupta, Honorable Chairman and welcome speech by Ms. Shivangi Sharma, HOD of B-Pharma.
In First early morning session, on the same day, Students expressed their creative ideas through posters, slogans and rangoli making.
The Awareness campaign and Rally were organized in nearby Rural areas like Nikkuwal and Nalagarh (Main Market) by students of B-Pharmacy and D-Pharmacy.
The on stage event started with an speech on Role of Pharmacist by Ms. Jagjit Kaur, Mr. Sahil, Mr. Anish and Ms. Bhavna (student B-Pharma 1st Sem.) and Mr. Anish, Mr. Shubham and Mr. Sahil, Mr. Ajay and Ms. Kiran (B-Pharmacy 3rd Sem.).
A poster making was performed by the students of B-Pharmacy on “SAFE AND RESPONSIBLE USE OF MEDICINES” depicting the role of Pharmacists to assure the same.
The event was organized by students of B-Pharmacy and D-Pharmacy under the guidance of the Mr. Sarbjot Singh, Ms. Shivangi Sharma, Ms. Anita Sharma and Ms. Aashmit Kaur.
Prof. (Dr.) Munish Goyal, Director, congratulated all the winners of various activities during the celebrations and hoped that the students will keep up their passion for the profession of pharmacy and enthusiastically involve in many more such future programmes.
Many students participated with a great zeal. After this, the Director Prof. (Dr.) Munish Goyal addressed the students and appreciated them for their excellent participation.
We thank our Faculty members Mr. Sarbjot Singh, Ms. Shivangi Sharma, Ms. Anita Sharma and Ms. Aashmit kaur for their constant support and endless motivation to all the students. Without them, the event would not have been a success.

Teacher's Day Celebration at Aakash Institute of Medical Sciences, Nalagarh, Distt. Solan, Himachal Pradesh.
"Teachers are the backbone of any country, the pillar upon which all aspirations are converted into realities".
To honour the contribution of faculty members of AIMS in the growth and success of the institution and in developing a culture of research and innovation at AIMS, "Teacher's Day" was celebrated at the campus with great exuberance.
The awards and recognitions were bestowed upon the awardees in the presence of Honorable Guest- Dr. Bhupesh Gupta, Chairman and Prof. (Dr.) Munish Goyal, Director and respected other dignitaries.
On this occasion, meritorious wards to faculty and staff members were also felicitated during the event.
Various astonishing performances of students and Teachers won the hearts of the viewers.
A big thank you to the Teachers without whom this place wouldn't be where it is..

MOU signed between Aakash Institute of Medical Sciences, Nalagarh and Sarvotham Care Limited, Baddi . The two organizations expressed their intention to collaborate for Skill Up-gradation of Students, Placement, Collaborative Research projects, Joint Supervision of Research scholar, Workshops and Seminars, etc. This MoU was signed by Prof. (Dr.) Munish Goyal, Director, AIMS, Nalagarh and Ms. Rupali Thakur, HR Sarvotham Care, Baddi.
This MoU will not only add on to the academic and research avenues for the students in the areas of product/process modification, modernization, safety and bioavailability related to pharmaceutical medicines but also give the students of Aakash Institute of Medical Sciences in the depth knowledge of pre-clinical and clinical studies and trouble shooting in pharmaceutical research and development. Speaking on this occasion, Prof. Goyal congratulated the entire faculty (Mr. Sarbjot Singh and Ms. Shivangi Sharma) and termed this MoU as another path-breaking moment which would enhance the contribution of this college in the field of pharmacy and pharmaceutical research.
