A dream of providing quality education to children in the mountains by Oona Sharma and Dr Sushil Sharma, a rural manager and a doctor, respectively, saw its humble beginning with just eight students and two local teachers in 1994. Today ABS is a full-fledged Hindi medium middle school with classes from nursery till class 8. It caters to 174 children from 12 neighbouring villages and has 17 full ti
me teachers. Catering to itsvision, ABS nurtures, creative learning and provides a strong foundation in languages, mathematics and science. Along with academics Co-curricular activities are included like ports, music, dance and theatre, art and craft, environment education, for the holistic development of the child. Exposure visits and educational tours are arranged every year to familiarize children with the outside world. ABS is an inclusive school where admissions are on a first come first serve basis with special efforts to include children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Our scholarship programs are there to provide an opportunity to the really poor to continue their education and especially talented children with a chance to explore their potential.
