The GGS Talent Hunt 2026 for the Primary Zone was held on 21st Aug, 2026 with great enthusiasm and excitement. The programme provided a wonderful platform for young talents to showcase their abilities and creativity.

The event was graced by Mr. Jayanto Bannerjee, Legal Advisor and Educational Consultant, and Mr. Biswajit Mondal, Educational Consultant, whose presence encouraged and motivated the participants.

The finalists showcased their talents in various categories, including Dance, Song, Recitation, Karate, Instrumental Music, and Yoga. Each performance reflected the students’ dedication, confidence, creativity, and hard work.

The winners were awarded for their outstanding performances, while all the participants and finalists were felicitated and appreciated for their sincere efforts and enthusiastic participation.

The event concluded on a joyful note, celebrating the diverse talents of the students and reinforcing the school’s commitment to nurturing young minds beyond academics.

Gurukul Global School conducted a Fire Safety Mock Drill on 17th August 2026 in collaboration with the Garifa Fire Station.

The fire personnel demonstrated important fire-safety procedures and explained how to respond appropriately during a fire emergency. Students and staff were guided on emergency evacuation, the use of designated exits, maintaining discipline during evacuation, and assembling safely at the designated assembly point.

The demonstration also helped students understand basic fire-prevention measures and the importance of remaining calm and following safety instructions during an emergency.

The mock drill was conducted successfully with the active participation of students, teachers, and staff. The initiative aimed to strengthen fire-safety awareness and emergency preparedness among the entire school community.

Gurukul Global School celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit on 15th August 2026. The celebration brought together the school management, teachers and students to honour the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and celebrate the values of unity, freedom and national pride.

The programme commenced with the flag hoisting by the School Secretary, Mr. Ram Nath Shaw, followed by the National Anthem. The unfurling of the Tricolour filled the entire school campus with a sense of pride and patriotism.

The School Secretary, Mr. Ram Nath Shaw, addressed the gathering and shared an inspiring message on the responsibilities of citizens towards the nation. This was followed by an inspiring speech by the School Principal, Mr. Ajitesh Gupta, who highlighted the importance of discipline, education, unity and responsible citizenship in building a stronger India.

The cultural programme began with a melodious chorus song presented by the Primary Section, creating a vibrant patriotic atmosphere. The young learners then captivated the audience with a graceful dance performance by the Primary Section.

The celebrations continued with energetic and colourful dance performances by the Middle School students, followed by an impressive performance by the Secondary Section, showcasing the talent, confidence and enthusiasm of the students.

Adding a special touch to the celebration, the teachers of Gurukul Global School presented a chorus song, conveying a beautiful message of patriotism and love for the nation.

The programme also included the Prize Distribution Ceremony for the Fancy Dress Competition held during the session 2025–2026. The deserving students were felicitated for their creativity, confidence and outstanding performances.

The celebration concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by the Senior Coordinator, Mr. Jaydip Das, who expressed gratitude to the School Secretary, Principal, teachers, students and everyone who contributed to making the Independence Day celebration a memorable and successful occasion.

The entire programme reflected the spirit of unity, patriotism and pride in our nation, leaving everyone with renewed inspiration to contribute positively towards the progress and development of India.

Gurukul Global School organised a Drug-Free Pledge Campaign on 11th August 2026 under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, Ministry of social Justice & Empowerment Govt. of India under the leadership of Brahma Kumaris for 10 crore addiction free pledge mega campaign to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse.

During the programme, a Sister from Brahma Kumaris addressed the students and highlighted the importance of taking the Drug-Free Pledge. She sensitised the students about the physical, mental, emotional and social consequences of drug abuse and encouraged them to make healthy and responsible choices in life.

The session was informative and inspiring, motivating students to stay away from drugs and addictive substances. At the end of the programme, the students collectively took the Drug-Free Pledge, promising to remain drug-free and contribute towards creating awareness among their peers, families and society.

The campaign was a meaningful initiative towards building a healthy, responsible and drug-free generation.
