Aastha Special School, Nahan

above said objectives, “Aastha” has started a school at Nahan in small rented premises in the house of our founder ms Abha verma . At present it is functioning in the accommodation of 2100 Sq.Fts rented in from Municipal Council of Nahan since 2001.whcih has been functioning under base necessary compliment of trained and devoted staff . With academic education, the society is imparting vocation education also to make children economically independent. The society is starting a café in the school premises name “kitchen In Town” to provide employment to our children. The society is also planning to install photostate machines in court complex , Nahan to provide employment to our children . For the over all development of our school children we are also encouraging them to participate in special sports activities organized by various organization .In the year 2003 one of our school children named Harsh*ta Bhatti participated in Special Olympics world summer games held at Dublin (Ireland) from 21 th june to 29 june , 2003 and won silver medal in 400 mtr.Relay and one bronze in 200mts in athelatic events . Petroleum sports promotion board has awarded her with Prize worth Rs 75000/-. Our another star Shavinder Singh has also participated in special Olympics winter games at Idhao in America and won two silver madels in Alpine skiing sports. Students are very active in sports activities and participated at state level , nation level and international level tournaments for many times. From time to time “AASTHA“ organizing various type of training program, workshops , hosted state level tournament for special children and participating in home base program of serve shiksha abhiyan ( Government of India aided program). Also taken up project like DEEN DAYAL and SAMARTH( Aided By Government Of India)

At present “AASTHA” is serving 90 special children in District Sirmour. AASTHA is providing boarding facility to 25 childern , home base training program to 20 childern and day schooling to 50 children. AASTHA mission is to educate Special children in term of general behavior, academically and professionally . Our main aim is to provide basic amenities to special children , to educate other part of society to adopt such children and to educate them how they can help to eradicate such type of deformity before the birth of children.
