On the third day of Illume 8.0, we had the privilege of hosting Mr. Sunil Bharadwaj, Consulting Director at Impacteazer Consulting.

Mr. Sunil Bharadwaj and Mr. Atishay Agarwal engaged in a stimulating panel discussion, focusing on the theme of "Adapting to Remote Work Realities in India." This session provided valuable insights into the changing dynamics of remote work.

In an enlightening Leadership Talk, Mr. Bharadwaj explored the topics of "Trends, Development, and Careers in Operations & Supply Chain Management." He also shed light on the Significance of Technology Tools within the Operations Industry, offering a glimpse into the future of this evolving field.

OPEX successfully concluded its fourth KPMG Lean Six Sigma Green Belt workshop, which took place at the college premises from 28th July 2023 to 01st August 2023. The workshop received a participation from 115+ students belonging to first and second year of PGP and the Executive batch of IIM Nagpur.
Mr. Hridayankur Dev Sarma and Mr. Venu Nilgar, served as the Instructor for the workshop, guiding the students through the principles of lean and six sigma methodologies with practical, real-world applications. The workshop comprehensively covered the DMAIC process improvement cycle and utilized various techniques, including the Kano model, Value Stream Mapping, Pareto Analysis, TIMWOOD, and more. Additionally, the students received hands-on training with Minitab software.
We firmly believe that this workshop has equipped the students with substantial knowledge, empowering them to foster continuous improvement across diverse domains.

OPEX in collaboration with Log-hub AG successfully conducted OPMACH case study competition under Tangerine Trails- The flagship annual management fest of IIM Nagpur.
The competition had a participation of 490 students from premier B-schools across the country.
Teams competed in a preliminary quiz round and a case study round to reach the finals. The final presentation round witnessed 6 teams compete for the top three spots in front of three experienced panelists from Log-hub.

SMARTLY YET CAUTIOUSLY TRAIL THE TANGERINE PATH

OPEX- The Operations club of IIM Nagpur successfully conducted its second KPMG Lean Six Sigma – Green Belt workshop. The workshop was held from 22nd to 29th August 2021 and was attended by 108 students from P1 and P2 batches. The trainer for the workshop was Mr. Hridayankur Dev Sarma, Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma. The workshop introduced students to the concepts of lean and six sigma methodologies through engaging real-world applications. The workshop covered the DMAIC process improvement cycle using techniques like the Kano model, Value Stream Mapping, Pareto Analysis, TIMWOODS, etc. The students also got hands-on experience with Minitab software. We believe that this workshop imparted sufficient knowledge to the students, which will help them achieve continuous improvement across various domains.

Opex was more than delighted to host Mr.Balpreet Singh for a valuable session and great interaction with the students of IIM Nagpur. The session covered concepts of AI in the supply chain through real-life cases and gave the students a better hang about AI use cases.

The session also gave the students a sneak peek into the DHL, TVS, PepsiCo cases and how AI capabilities were leveraged for operational excellence.

The session ended with a great QnA session with even more great insights and we are sure that this session will act as a base for our 1st-year students in exploring career options on the technology side of the supply chain.

We once again express our sincere gratitude to ISCEA SC Next for their continued support and collaboration with IIM Nagpur, and for helping us with the guest session.

Opex is delighted to host as part of the Op-Talk Series, Mr. Balpreet Singh – Asst Vice President of Enterprise Applications at Reliance Industries Limited to enlighten us on the topic of “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Supply Chain Management”.

We extend our gratitude to ISCEA SC Next, for their support in arranging this session for the IIM Nagpur fraternity!

We welcomed the new batch for the academic year 2021-2023 with our Orientation Event OpTide 5.0!

The event started off with a small quiz on Kahoot, followed by a Kaizen event and a data analytics exercise.
Participants were divided into teams in which they brainstormed the identified issues and came up with insightful recommendations!
