🚦 Healthy Food Activity – “My Meal, My Choice” 🌱
Kids World School, Nagpur, in collaboration with the Interact Club – Ishanya, organised an engaging Healthy Food Activity to sensitise students towards mindful eating and making nutritious food choices.
The students assessed their meals through a simple and interesting Green Flag 🟢, Yellow Flag 🟡 and Red Flag 🔴 system.
🟢 Green Flag – Go for it!
Nutritious foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables, sprouts, pulses, whole grains, nuts and wholesome homemade meals.
🟡 Yellow Flag – Think & Limit!
Foods that can be enjoyed occasionally and in moderation, particularly items containing added sugar, salt or excess oil.
🔴 Red Flag – Stop & Rethink!
Highly processed foods, sugary beverages, excessive fried foods and other choices that should be limited.
Students observed their own meals, identified healthier and less healthy choices, discussed the reasons behind each flag and explored ways to make their plates more nutritious. The activity transformed everyday eating habits into a meaningful learning experience about nutrition, balance and moderation.
