𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺:
MNLU Nagpur is launching B.A.LL.B. (Honours in Adjudication and Justicing), an Undergraduate Degree Course that aims to equip the students with critical legal thinking for entry level of Judiciary.

This Five-Year duration degree course comprises of intensive and exhaustive practical training with regular Internships and Judicial Clerkship and 6 months of Apprenticeship (Semester-X) under the guardianship of High Court Justices and District Judges.

World Mental Health Day is observed on 10th October every year, with the overall objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilizing efforts in support of mental health.

On the occasion of World Su***de Prevention Day celebrated on 10th of September every year, Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur held a webinar called 'Never Give Up'. The Mental Health Army, in collaboration with Gender Sensitization Committee, took initiative through his webinar to raise awareness about su***de prevention and celebrate mental health.

Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. (Dr.) Vijendra Kumar, welcomed the Chief Guest. The webinar was hosted by the University's in-house Consulting Psychologist Mrs. Rowena Phillips and Dr. Ragini Khubalkar.

The Chief Guest and motivational speaker, Mr. Jerry Hughes, gave detailed information about their charity and orphanage. Mr. Hughes is the founder of House of Hope, an orphanage in Nagpur, India for children and youth orphaned by AIDS or affected by HIV. With extreme motivation, he inspired the listeners with his life story of how he managed to survive when he got affected with HIV and about the people who give him a step-up to go ahead of his goals. The QnA session was very interesting as both Mr. Jerry and Counselor Mrs. Rowena Phillips enlightened the listeners as to how to cope with suicidal thoughts or how one can prevent it.

Mr. Karan graduated from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad in 2018 with several gold medals and as the 'Best All-Round Student'. He was offered a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas in his fourth year. He represented India at the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) at Harvard University where he was awarded ‘Global Winner’. He has also represented India at the World Championship rounds of the oldest and most prestigious Moot Court Competition – the Philip C Jessup in 2017, where he was awarded top speaker and memorial citations. He judged the India National rounds of the Jessup in 2019 and 2020. After his graduation, he was appointed as a Judicial Law Clerk to Hon'ble Justice D.Y. Chandrachud at the Indian Supreme Court from June, 2018 to July, 2020. Recently, he has been awarded two full scholarships – the prestigious Oxford Weidenfeld-Hoffman Scholarship and UK Chevening Scholarship to pursue the B.C.L. degree at the University of Oxford, besides numerous funding offers from the top US universities.
