On 15th October 2024, Chemical Society, ALCHEMY, & Department of Chemistry in association with Department of Home Science had organised a talk for under graduate BSc. Science and Home Science students. Talk was delivered by Dr. Sheetal Deshmukh, Assistant Professor, Laxminarayan Innovation Technological University, Nagpur, on the topic " * Application of Fermentation in day to day life" & Food Adulteration: its effects on health"
45 students were beneficiary of the interactive and interesting session.
Dr. Vaishali Meshram, HOD, Department of Chemistry, Pradnya Bagalkote, Radhe Bobade, Shubham Pawar, Rema Sidhu were present for the program. The program was conducted by Dr. Bhavna D Deshpande.

Sickle cell anemia screening camp:
To educate and get awareness in students about sickle cell disease, the Department of Zoology organizes Sickle cell anemia detection camp for new entrants regularly. This activity was done by the department of Zoology every year.

In session 2024-25 on 25th September 2024 first sickle cell anemia detection camp was organized. This event starts with informative presentation on sickle cell anemia by Dr. Mrs. K. M. Paturkar, Head Department of Zoology. Total 112 students participated in this session and gave blood samples for testing sickle cell anemia by using a solubility test.

Department of Zoology, Dharampeth M. P. Deo Memorial Science College, Nagpur has taken an initiative to organize sickle cell anemia detection camp in collaboration with Lokkalyan Diagnostics, Nagpur

After sickle cell anemia detection camp the students who were carriers for sickle cell disease will be referred for further confirmatory test and counseling.

Our workshop on Beauty and Personality Grooming was an incredible success! 🎉✨
