Konjunktiv II in German explained in 60 seconds 🤯

“Ich würde, ich hätte, ich wäre” — what does it really mean?

This is called Konjunktiv II. It is used for situations that are not real right now.

3 main uses:
👉 Wishes
👉 Imaginary situations
👉 Polite expressions

Examples:
✈ Ich wäre jetzt im Urlaub (I wish I were on vacation)
⏰ Ich hätte mehr Zeit (If only I had more time)
These describe thoughts, not reality.

Easy structure:
👉 würde + verb
Ich würde gehen
Ich würde lernen
(Simple and always safe to use)

Important verbs used directly:
👉 ich wäre
👉 ich hätte
👉 ich könnte

Real-life example:
☕ Ich würde gern einen Kaffee haben (polite and natural)
