“I’m humbled to have received the prestigious Dr P N Singh Memorial Award towards Outstanding Academic Leadership by Higher Education Forum (HEF).

HEF is a community of individuals and practitioners of Higher Education with more than 4000 members is the largest think tank in the space of higher education in India. Dr P.N. Singh was a legendary Corporate Leader and Academic who was a patron of HEF.

Heartiest congratulations to all the 18 great academicians who were awarded by HEF for their contribution. This kind of recognition motivates educators to move forward to the next orbit of higher education space.

I had the opportunity to share my thoughts on Multidisciplinary Education at the National Webinar on Multidisciplinary and Holistic Education organized by the UGC to mark one year of Transformative Reforms under the National Education Policy 2020.
Multidisciplinary Education is the future - making students well-rounded individuals and attractive employees, thanks to the rich world-view that they develop. An education in the liberal arts allows people to think broadly and strategically, which is an important trait for leaders and innovators in a constantly changing world. Communication skills, problem-solving competency, and the ability to work in a team are the most valuable skills that recruiters seek in students, and the higher education curriculum must respond to these needs.
Thanks to Dr Dr. Subhas Sarkar, Hon’ble Minister of State for Education and Prof D.P. Singh (Chairman, University Grants Commission) for spearheading this highly relevant and timely seminar.
